My favorite neighborhood taco spot. I thought I wrote a review for this place ages ago. I’ve been coming here for years. I love that they have the non typical meats, lengua, buche, tripas, birria, etc. The Al Pastor always hits the spot though, sometimes they even sell out. The marisocos are prepared so well. Definitely try the fish tacos if you get the chance.

First time here, was recommended by someone else, good parking lot, very clean inside, very friendly staff. Female at the counter was helpful and attentive, even made recommendations. Large portions. Very good food, full of flavor. I would return when in the area and definitely recommend this location. Lots of options on the menu.

Wow! What a pleasant suprise! Stopped here for lunch and the al pastor wet burrito was hands down the best Iv ever had. The sauce is so rich and deep with flavor, the al pastor was perfectly cooked. The onions and jalapeno on the side perfectly roasted. Amazing meal thank you!

Hard to understand how anyone can give this place 5 stars. When they first opened it was pretty good, however lately the portions are much smaller and less flavorful. Yesterday I ask for the cheese enchilada plate. I could not find any cheese let alone the enchiladas since they were covered with shredded lettuce. I have never had lettuce on an enchilada, I did not order a tostada. A very small portion of beans that were more like soup and the rice was fair. This is my second bad experience in the past two weeks. Needless to say for the money it is not worth it and I will not be going back...

Peñas has become a staple food establishment in the Sunland-Tujunga area. Whenever friends visit from out of town, this is the first place I take them. In recent years, prices have slightly gone up, however the food is still very much worth it. The quality of the food is superb and the flavor is always abundant. Plus, they offer a "burrito loco" which is an almost foot long burrito that is always incredibly filling and never a regretful order.
