So I used to live near this place, but before the place was made I used to eat at mainland poke shop, I believe that this place is superior, and this one in particular too, because I have been to other poke bar's and they aren't as good as this one. They have made a lot of upgrades since I was last there, because the community has changed a lot, it used to be just poke, but now they have ramen, poke, soup, boba and more. I got the poke with the chips on the side and used the poke as a dip, it was delicious. It was savory and succulent, overall just delicious, the chips really set it off. The service was really nice because I was shy as I had not been there in a while (like couple months) so my server help direct,me in what was different since the last time I was there. The only thing I didn't like is the fact that they use the pad screen where you get to choose the tip, so I always feel pressured to tip, but that's me personally, nothing on the business, but still, I feel bad honestly if I don't tip them.

Im addicted to this place. I love Poke and i love the way they get it to me, my way. They are located in a tiny strip mall on the corner of Olympic and La Brea. Parking is limited and very tight. The inside is clean and neat. Smells fresh and clean. The dining are is pretty spacious for such a small restaurant. Staff is always friendly and fast to greet you and get your order started. So you pick the size you want first and rice or green base. Second you pick your fish. Third you pick add ins. Fourth you pick the sauce or sauces. Lastly the topping and seasoning. It fun mixing the different flavors. For dessert the macaroon ice cream sandwiches are amazing. With your yelp check in you get a free miso soup. Oh, they have a card , where you buy 10 and the 11th bowl is free.

This particular location loves to mess up orders. The other locations are great! But the last few times we’ve ordered from here half of the bowl was missing, or leaked through the packaging because the ingredients were oddly soggy, and smelled spoiled, and poke is already expensive enough. I’d recommend going to another location if you’re craving for Poké Bar.

I've eaten here a few dozen times over the years and it was always solid. The seafood quality isn't the best, but they were generous with the proteins, toppings, and sauce. Basically, you were getting good value for a tasty poke.

Recently, they changed their containers and it has been all downhill. The new containers are nicer but also smaller. It used to be when you ordered a large, you'd get two scoops of rice and the scoops of protein were full or even rounded. Now, it's a single scoop of rice and not even full scoops of proteins. They are similarly stingy with the sauces and toppings too.

The result is a significantly smaller poke bowl that is bland and unsatisfying. If you need to fix your food cost, raise your menu prices. Expecting customers to be happy when you've changed the portion size and ruined the quality is the wrong route. It's a high-turnover location, so maybe the staff need some serious retraining.

Either way, after two terrible experiences in a row I'm giving up...

I first discovered Poke Bar when I lived in Scottsdale, Arizona and loved it! When I moved to Los Angeles, I was excited to know that Poke Bar was out here as well! There is a location that is close to where I live but after coming to this location and having the pleasure of meeting Arizona, I have decided I’d much rather drive further to not only have better quality food but much better customer service! Arizona is knowledgeable about the restaurant and the food and he goes above and beyond for each and every customer! His personality is so genuine and friendly and you can tell he really cares about his job and the company! With so many other poke restaurants in Los Angeles and after a couple pretty awful experiences at other Poke Bar locations, I had almost given up on this place until I met Arizona! He is truly a gem!

And yes, it is ironic that this review is about Arizona (the person) and I am also...
