I was lured in by photos of their almond chocolate croissant. I thought the almond shell was going to be reminiscent of the pineapple crust on a Taiwanese pineapple bun. Instead, the outer edges are soft and chewy - the burnt pieces stuck to my teeth. And each bite was confusing - so soft and lacked the distinct texture of croissant layers. In short, this croissant isn’t for me, but I wouldn’t be opposed to going back to try something else on a cooler day.
