I stopped at the Popeyes on Winnetka & Keswick to have lunch. This Popeyes will not take your order at the register. You have to use the kiosk, however, you don't have to pay at the kiosk if you don't want to, you can pay at the register š¤. I placed my order and sat down to eat. As I was eating, a female Asian walked in, and she did not understand how to order "The Day's Special". A female Hispanic employee that was standing behind the counter refused to walk up to the kiosk to help the lady place her order. She instead talked the lady through it. from behind the counter, in a loud rude tone. The Asian lady struggled but managed to place her order and soon left. A minute later a Hispanic male entered the restaurant. The female employee and the male appeared to know each other. She then walked around the counter to the lobby to help the male and took the male's order at the kiosk.
I'm Hispanic too, but I did not like the way the Hispanic female employee treated the female Asian women deferent then the male Hispanic customer. I told the manager that it was not right that she did not help the lady the same way she helped the male. When I got home I looked at my food and realized they made one of my combos wrong. I had ordered spicy tenders. Instead they gave me original/regular tenders. I drove back and tried explaining to another worker the situation and even offered my receipt. Instead the worker told me I was wrong and it was spicy tenders. That they changed their recipe. I was taken aback by her telling the customer (me) that I was wrong. I told her I eat at Popeyes a lot and I know how the spicy tenders look different from the original. You can see the red seasoning on the spicy chicken and itās a bit darker. Instead of apologizing and trying to make up for the mistake. She argued back with me and was very unprofessional. While all the other workers was looking at the interaction. I asked to speak to the manager and she said the manager wasnāt there and sheās the manager for now. The rest of the staff is sluggish and lackadaisical, especially the young dude with curly hair (which should be confined in a hair net).
I'm not looking for Tavern on the Green service from a Popeye's employee, but at least tell me that you're out of frozen lemonade before slamming an iced lemonade on the counter and declaring, "Machine's broken. That's all we got." He didn't even bother to ask if I wanted something different or a refund. I picked up the cup, and it spilled immediately. He sucked his ecru teeth when I told him that I had several separate orders but that they could all go in the same bag. One of the wing orders spilled in the bag because he neglected to put the top on securely.
