2019.04-23/1230: Delicious Mexican-American cuisine! Already from the parking lot attendant to the time we left, our experience was fantastic! We joined the waiting list on Yelp and checked in with the awesome hostess that greeted us the minute we walked in. The restaurant is a lot bigger on the inside than what you would think and the interior was gorgeous. The decor is mostly hand-carved wood! Beware of the huge posts underneath the tables of the booths because you can knock your knees on them when getting out of your booth.
I can't even explain to you how delicious the beans were - they bring them to the table with your chips! They bring you salsa if you ask for it or visit the salsa bar but the beans....so good that the hubby didn't want salsa. He only went to the salsa bar because he wanted me to try the red, Chipotle-tasting salsa and guacamole salsa they had. Make sure you don't eat too much of it or you won't be able to make it to your main entree! That's how delicious it is! You will not want to eat anything else but chips and beans!
We ordered the Camarones de Ajo and Carnitas Molcajete...oh my goodness... both dishes were so flavorful and generally I don't eat rice but the rice they have here is DELICIOUS! I'm sure they use some sort of stock in their rice because the rice alone was perfectly seasoned and savory! Yes, the rice was savory. My Camarones de Ajo had the perfect amount of garlic and butter! My shrimp were succulent and cooked to perfection. My husband loved his Carnitas Molcajete - there were pieces of pork that were cooked on the grill that had the crispiness and that grilled flavor we loved; very similar to chicharones. DELICIOUS! Our server delivered excellent customer service and had the best attitude ever. He had a huge section, not to mention a six-top birthday party to attend to, right next to us, nestled in the corner. He was amazingly calm and his suggestions were spot on! He always had a smile on his face!
Their margaritas are delicious! The mango with the Tajin rim was perfect for our entrees! My husband loved them. He finished up his beer and drank some of the margarita. Perfect enough to be a dessert. Speaking of dessert, we had the Fried Ice Cream. Can't get over how perfect our whole meal and experience was! We will definitely be back and next time, we're bringing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI took my wife family here for dinner since it was my treat to her dad. He loves this place and the location so it was his choice to come here. Parking can be a hassle if you come during the busy time but they have someone to help coordinate parking and I think they have a second spot for additional parking. When we arrived at 4:30pm today (Friday), the rush hasn't happen so we were able to find parking easily. When we walked in, they were able to sit us before our whole party arrived. They brought chips and spicy beans as the dip but if you want additional salsa, they have a salsa bar that you go get yourself but they recommend wearing gloves. They didn't give us a menu probably because they want you to scan a QR code but I just look on their website. The waiter and most of the staff are wearing mask for extra protection. They sat us near a noisy table but we just had to tolerate it. I got the Carne asada combo and asked instead of the Enchiladas I wanted fries. The fries was not the best and the carne asada was okay to me. They said the plate was super hot when they brought it but when i ate the asada, it was coldm They were able to accommodate for that with no extra charges. My wife got their Cream Chicken Enchiladas and said it was a little salty but she still enjoyed it. The waiter disappeared after they brought our food so I had to flag someone down to get refill on my coke. The lighting inside the restaurant isn't the best but i guess it works for them. They have outside seating as well if you prefer that. Be aware that they charge a "customer assistance" fee so the bill they give you isn't the final amount. I was surprise too until I saw the charge after they swipe my card but I wasn't going to complain. When we left, they started getting busy and there was a line of cars...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had heard so many great things about this restaurant and their food. After a long day of bike riding and hanging out me and 8 of my friends decided to go have dinner here. We made it to the location around 8:45pm, put our name on the list and was told that the wait would be 1 hour and 30 minutes. No problem, at 10:10 we get our beep that our table would be ready, we walk up to the hostess and let them know we are ready and he says oh you guys are next... they sat everybody who were waiting after us FIRST! At 10:45pm we still hadn't been seated and the management seemed upset with us for being a little annoyed and frustrated. When asked for Corporate Office info the staff them all of a sudden had amnesia... no one knew who owned the restaurant and they wouldn't provide us with any information. So why do we think not being seated was racial discrimination? Well everyone present working or eating none were black š¤ Not one (We stuck out like a soar thumb) We were the only Black Guests there in sight at that time. No one tried to accommodate us. They tried to ignore us and provided many excuses as to why we hadn't been seated. We ended up leaving still hungry and our night ruined... it was my friend's birthday! We will never go to this restaurant again and would like for everyone to know how we were treated, disrespected and disregarded. We were thoroughly disgusted and trust we will find out who owns this restaurant and make some noise about this. ALL 9 OF US SO GET READY! It has only just begun. You guys made us wait over 2 hours when you just could have said your party is too big for us to accommodate. But that...
