My daughter and I go to this sharkys all the time. the food is usually really good and employees are usually really nice except for the manager. Today he showed his true colors yet again. I ordered the chicken fajita bowl for which I have ordered a few times before. Well today it didn't taste good so I took it back t to tell them. They asked me if they could make me another one or give me something else. I said no. They did not offer me a refund..So my daughter went in and asked for me. The manager tried to blame it on me as if I taste buds were off. Saying that they taste all of the plates. My daughter politely told him she wasn't blaming them or their Cooks. That it must have been a bad batch. She also told them that if we were the kind of customers that complain for no reason we would have done it countless times by now because there have been times when their food was not great and I just dumped it instead of giving it back to them and getting a refund or replacement . We spend a lot of money in their restaurant. The manager needs to be replaced because as they say the customer is always right. So after 5 minutes of arguing proving him to be in the wrong. He gave her my refund without the receipt so now I have to make sure he gave me the right amount of money and check my bank statement. Needless to say we will not be frequenting that sharky's ever again. Terrible manager terrible customer service a today terrible food. It was cold the vegetable tasted really funny in fact I had to spit them out in a napkin instead of...
Read moreI’m a fan of Sharky’s cuisine and I’ve been to many of their locations in the San Fernando Valley. I have found a pleasant consistency in the food and service over all of my visits. The thing that makes each location different is their décor and setting. Personally, I think the Chatsworth Sharky’s is one of the best locations in the Valley, second to the Northridge location. This location is in an outdoor mall. It has a shared parking lot, a fair sized dining room, and a covered outdoor dining area. This location has a wet bar with televisions near it playing sporting events, but the bar is located in the most crowded part of the restaurant and isn’t inviting. When you first enter the restaurant they want you to make an immediate left to get into the line to order, but it’s not obvious. Many people walk straight into the restaurant and end up not in line and so then the staff have to compensate with line control efforts. Once you’ve actually ordered the visit becomes a lot more standard. The dining room and outdoor dining areas are well laid-out and you never feel crowded. The soda taps get mobbed so try to not sit near them. As with all Sharky’s locations, the chips and salsa...
Read moreI used to go go to the old time Sharkeys on Reseda Blvd. It has been years, so I was happy to see one in Chatsworth. EXTREMELY disappointed. They used to have different fish. Fish of the day- that one could have in a burrito. Not anymore. The only fish (listed as a “protein” for 3 dollars extra) was SALMON. sorry but not even appetizing. Salmon w Spanish beans? And rice? As a fajita? As a burrito?
IF I had stayed that Salmon Burrito would have been 16 dollars. For just a burrito. I’d have to pay for a drink so it’s lunch for 20 bucks. Sorry Sharkeys. But you’ve lost your way. The salmon burrito didn’t even sound good. The other choices were chicken and tofu.
Wish it was the same as the old Sharkeys, before it was sold. Original one had tables and surf movies playing - and a fun atmosphere. Whoever bought it turned it into same old same old may as well be any old salsa bar takeout places.
I don’t order. Salmon w beans sounded horrible. No other options of fish.
Hard pass.
On another note the place looked clean and well kept. But no to a burrito that will cost that much. How much salmon is in it anyways?
So I drove the 90 minutes home...
