Best Italian deli around!
I grew up in Chatsworth and our fam would come here all the time. One time my dad and I went to San Carlos to get some turkey sandwiches. I didn't like tomatoes despite my Mediterranean heritage so we ordered two turkey sandwiches with everything on it, but one without tomatoes. When Giovanni gave us our sandwiches he said, "Two turkey sandwiches...one with everything on it..." He handed that one to my dad. Then he looks at me and playfully yells, "...and one with NOTHING on it!" Mind you, our sandwiches were identical except mine was sans tomatoes. Also, I took my then girlfriend/now wife there for the first time. She doesn't like to try new things. She just wanted a simple sandwich. While we were waiting, Giovanni fires up some panzerottis. Wifey didn't want to try it, but didn't want to offend Giovanni. Needless to say, whenever we make the trek back to Chatsworth to visit my 'rents who still live there, we purchase at least a dozen panzerottis each time.

Shop here or dine here (or do both) either way you are in for a treat. And I now know that while I have a new love, I stayed in the family. Both of these deli’s are operated separately but, owned by the...
