Being that we just dine in at the sizzler on Manchester in the city of Inglewood and the food and service was top tier, I was so excited once I saw the location on Devonshire in Northridge. I took my kids as a treat and they were not pleased with the choice. The ground beef was smothered in oil that was already separating from the actual mystery looking meat. The Mac and Cheese was crusted and so old it appeared to have been from a week ago. The spaghetti noodles also hard in texture. I asked the server why the fried chicken was black and if there were any fresh pieces being prepared in the kitchen. She came back with identical pieces and said “the cook said they’re fresh” . They have the audacity to cut the Sizzler Toast in half, lol and they’re scorched tasting. It’s just a mess. Perhaps if this location takes a field trip to the Inglewood location they can take back a lesson or two on how to serve food that customers are happy to eat. That would really help, because this place is really- really -really bad! The manager sat in the front and ate food from the kitchen he didn’t even eat that scary salad bar food. I mean yuck. What a waste of $60. I took a bite of the food on my plate to be fair and gagged instantly. Just very unappealing and stale tasting. Pics below. The only thing that was decent was the cornbread, and signature lemonades. All we ate was broccoli and cheese soup, total rip off. Don’t wait for me to come through those doors ever again. They should change out the oil in the fryer, and serve FRESH FOOD.

We decided to dine in tonight mainly for the unlimited salad bar and broccoli cheddar soup. We were third in line and it took roughly 20 mins to get to the front of the line. A couple 2 spots behind me ended up leaving due to the amount of time it was taking with the first clients. It would have been nice if there were two cashier's to speed up the process. Food was okay, though I do wish there were other options such as onion rings, fries, or cheese sticks. There are potato wedges, though sometimes they are overly cooked. Servers were a little slow this evening. One bowl of the soup crackers were completely out when we arrived. Servers didn't bother to refill until I asked for crackers as both bowls were completely empty. Lights were dimmed around the salad bar, which made it seem like we were sort of eating in the dark. The back half of the restaurant had great lighting. Some customers did mention it was a bit to dark; however, staff didn't do anything. It was way to dark in the restaurant. Also, the cashier went on about the dessert station which serves a soft serve machine. It would be nice if the staff were to inform the cashier of the soft serve machine being out of service to inform customers as it was something that was asked if customers would like to include the dessert station in their meal. There are brownies. It would be nice to have a few other options such as cookies, etc.

This is a smaller restaurant that has a salad bar and entrees, just as the bigger ones do. I arrived at lunchtime, one person at the cashier and a group of 2 behind me. I paid and took my seat, and waited maybe 5-6 minutes for my server to come over. There seemed to be one server and one other that delivered the meals to the table. When bread was served, it appeared they served everyone at the same time, then the drinks. My meal came and the server requested I cut into the steak to check doneness. I would have preferred it medium, but it came medium well+, which I accepted as I had an appointment following lunch. Friendly people, clean restaurant and tasty food. I will be back

Just like any other Sizzler we have ever been to you place your order as you come in. I think the only negative thing we can come up with is that they need to have a more realistic price for a One Time Salad bar trip for those that want to buy the typical Entree. My hubbys meal was pretty pricey when you add up the 13.99 for the steak and baked Potato, $7.49 for the Salad Bar and $2.79 for the drink. Let me say there is more then enough food available at the Salad bar that he did not need the steak and baked potato so he brought that home for another meal. So although this meal was $38 for the two of us- he will be getting another meal out of it. He now knows better - he can get plenty to eat with the Salad bar.

For me- the Vegetarian- HEAVEN. My Senior Salad bar- which I sadly qualify for now- was a great value as it included the drink. I was so happy with the variety at the Salad Bar. What I thought was a fabulous touch was another area they called their "Protein" additions that had a server there. They offer things like Shrimp and other items. I think it is more sanitary having someone serve that. I am not sure if that is an extra charge-based on the menu I read out front and posted here in the photo section. I did not explore it at all since I was completely content and satisfied with the offerings at the Salad bar and I am a Vegetarian. The Salad bar also includes some pasta as well as Taco makings. For non vegetarians there are also chicken wings at the salad bar as well.

Their beverage selections are great including Iced Coffee!!! YAY.

With their Ice Cream and Frozen Yogurt as well as all the toppings, I was in heaven. Hubby made a Root Beer float.

Staff was very nice. Claudia made us fee very welcome.

This is a VERY CLEAN restaurant as well. This used to be a Carrows, and a small one at that. I can imagine it could get pretty crowded as the seating area is minimal. They are doing great with what they have and there is some additional seating in the back.

We really enjoyed our lunch there.

Suggestion to management- for those steak lovers it would be great to offer some kind of Managers special that would include the Salad bar and beverage. We did ask a server if something like that existed but...

This goes to the Sizzler company: We were traveling in the USA again after pausing several years and had Sizzler on our bucket list. In the first few weeks, we didn't have the opportunity to visit one of these restaurants - either there were no branches or they looked quite empty from the outside. This is not a good sign for a buffet, which used to be a key aspect of going to Sizzler. So we visited this restaurant in the last few days of our stay and were completely disappointed. There were just 2 people in the restaurant at 7.00 pm. The company had switched to order counters at the entrance, which is simply inappropriate for a restaurant of this category. These counters convey a fast food atmosphere and put the customer under pressure. On the other hand, they also give customers the opportunity to leave the restaurant without any red tape. That's what we did when we saw the prices, which were completely exorbitant - even for California. We had rarely eaten top steaks at Sizzler in the 90s, the combo with the salad bar was the attractive thing. Here, a medium-sized main course would have cost us around 20-25 dollars with the salad bar-addon alone for around 12 dollars, almost 40 dollars including tax per person. That is too much. Apparently the other customers can also do the math, which is why the restaurant was so empty. This was a bitter disappointment, as the whole family had been looking forward to a reunion with the once attractive steakhouse chain for a long time. Then something more down-to-earth in the Golden Coral if you're in the mood for a buffet and steaks. The Sirloins in Vegas were hardly any less well prepared than we remembered the Sizzler steaks...

“I took my husband to this establishment for his Birthday and when I tell you this restaurant offered the worst service that I have ever seen in my lifetime! The waitress was rude and standoffish we were there at least two hours and she never came by our table too see if we needed anything or to see if we were enjoying our dining experience or even to offer a friendly smile our way absolutely no kindness or friendly service at all…myself and my husband did not feel welcome at all…in fact we felt very uncomfortable the whole experience was unpleasant and uncomfortable and we couldn’t wait to get out of there…and just as we got up to leave this restaurant, that very same waitress had the nerve to say -bye- to us in a very Condescending way… I will never spend my money in this den of thieves establishment again cause I feel like they took my money and treated us like we didn’t even exist! And I don’t know the name of this waitress but she had blonde-ish hair and she served us on 4-15-2024 so she knows who she is and so does the owner and or management, please don’t respond with some standard statement of we will try to improve our service memo cause if you were really trying to improve your establishment you would put in the work too do so, and you wouldn’t continue to have so many customers complain’s you will never get the opportunity to treat me and my husband disrespectfully again and I hope if you don’t improve in the near future that you will find a GOING OUT OF BUSINESS Sign on your restaurant sooner than laterThanks for absolutely Nothing!! And all I will have to say about that is...
