So along with Louis Burgers, Tams's is a staple in my hometown. I lived literally a 10 minute walk from here my entire life so I've seen where it used to be to what it's become.
Pros: LOTS of food, lol. My dad said that's how they stay in business, they give you too much of everything you order. Also, the breakfast plates are great and very filling. Same with the dinner plates, especially my fave the chicken strip dinner with fries, a salad and a hot butter roll, sooo good! Great shakes too, so thick it may as well be ice cream.
Cons: They raise the price of stuff like every 2 weeks. Do they really think we don't notice 0_o, lol? Also, some of the food can be bland and blah. It's like some items have gotten worse over time, idk if there was a new cook or what, but the pastrami really took a hit. It's just flavorless and rubbery to me, I have to add a lot of pickles and mustard if I get it, which i rarely do now whenever I visit home.
So yeah, bullet proof glass is to be expected round those parts, so don't be scurred, lol. There have been a few isolated insidents at and around Tam's though. If you are scary just get your food to go, or don't go super late. I like the joint, not the best it could be, and def past it's prime, but overall...

The 1/2 chicken plate the chicken was over cooked which gave it some flavor but the thousand island dressing on the salad was horrible water down and so was the ketchup. They use low quality products and try to thin them out more giving there food a worse flavor....
