It wasn't too busy on Friday at 2pm, so the manager kindly let me put my bike inside. I got the lamb curry lunch special - spicy. He asked what spice level I wanted, and I said "hot", to which he asked on a scale of 1-10. I said 9 but saw he wrote down "medium" so I said just give me 10. With Indian food, the flavor is in the spice. I also got a chai that me feel a tad gross if I drank too much at once (maybe it was a bit too milky?), but I still finished it.
The lunch special was a good deal that came with lentils, raita (yogurt), naan, and rice. The naan had a nice texture, and the rice had some pleasantly squishy vegetables. The lamb curry had a nice flavor and kick, but the lamb itself was a tiny bit too gamey for me. Compared to Bollywood Indian restaurant #2, this place gives more naan, but Bollywood gives almost double the amount of the main dish and has many more options for lunch special for a very slightly higher price. Because Bollywood's lunch special lasts me 2 meals, I consider that the better deal. But the good naan here means I will likely...

Tried the Baingan Bharta, Chicken Tikka, and Saag Paneer along with the Chef’s Dinner of Aloo Gobi, Lamb Curry, Dal Makhani, “salad”, veggie rice, and Chicken Tandoori.
Portion size is good for the price and the quality seemed high. Chef’s choice is easily enough food for 2, which makes it the best deal on the menu. Food was well prepared. Not too salty.
First time trying Baingan Bharta and this one was excellent. You could taste the flavor-enriching process to cook it.
One suggestion would be to increase the amount of Naan provided as two pieces for $5.50, especially given the amount of food ordered is light. I think 3-4 pieces would’ve been more appropriate.
Seems like this is a family restaurant with a few generations working here. Happy to keep...
Read moreVery disappointed. My husband had lunch at yesterday because of good reviews I really thought we were going to get a a flavorful meal. First impression the restaurant is extremely dark. The people were nice and efficient. We ordered the sample appetizer plate tikka masala chicken and curry chicken. The tikka masala with missing spices found it resembled more of a Italian sauce than a tikka masala. Very small amount of chicken three pieces in the tikka masala. Green Chutney was very good but I had to put it all over my food. I'm not saying this to be mean I just want people like myself that AR looking for very authentic Indian food to know this is very Americanized...
