Really cool place. The lounge has very intimate vibes. Nice booths, private tables for 2 with curtains, solid wood tables for larger parties. It's very tastefully decorated and lit. It really does feel like a speakeasy, like a cool lounge, not a restaurant. They have these cool faux-windows that make it look like you're overlooking the valley. I thought that was a really nice touch.
They had live music/karaoke. Some original musicians, some locals, most singers had their own guitar to play karaoke which was really cool. Emily Brooks played a short acoustic set of originals, which was really cool, and other artists took turns doing originals and covers. It was also open to anyone who wanted to sing karaoke (sans guitar) or use the piano. Not a typical karaoke bar crowd, in a good way.
Their cocktails were good. Had a nice wine list but I didn't try any. We had a tequila and mezcal one, both were good and creative.
The food was good, but nothing to write home about. The menu is a little expensive for what you get, but I get that you're paying for more than the food, like the experience. I'd probably have spent the same amount at any of the many modern trendy westside Italian restaurant. Tiramisu was really good!
And can't forget the service, they were really nice and attentive. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Shout out to them, and all of the staff that are a part of the restaurant.
I would love to come back for drinks, listen to music, and even play. A really well-put together place. Totally unassuming from the ground floor/main dining room, until you...
Read moreI wanted to like this place so bad. My boyfriend actually went here by himself for drinks once, had a great experience and decided to spend Valentine’s Day here with me. This time, our experience was severely lacking. I arrived 10 minutes early to the reservation and I was not approached by a single member of the staff for 45 minutes +. When we finally complained, we were attended by a bunch of different waiters because we couldn’t get ahold of the waiter who was assigned to us. Shortly after, the manager came out and assured us that we were their priority, however our experience did not get better.
Honestly, the garlic bread was a joke. It was literally blackened toast with garlic sprinkled on it. The steak was good but for $50 there should be more than just mashed potatoes on the plate. The drinks were good and so was the tiramisu which saved the night.
Some of the staff came off as very passive aggressive and annoyed that we complained but there was nothing else we could do at that point. Having to wait almost an hour for a glass of water is absolute insanity. I will say, the ambience is excellent and the music was incredible. However, this doesn’t make up for the poor service and...
Read moreMy partner and I came here for New Year’s Eve with tickets/reservation for the event which we prepaid for. We arrived 10 mins early to our 9PM reservation. We waited out in the cold on NYE for 50 mins before they let us inside. Once getting inside we were hopeful the night would turn around, but then we waited for another hour before any servers came to ask us our order or even give us water. Then when we ordered multiple items on their preset menu had run out. But finally the food came, which was cold and disappointing. What is the most frustrating part of all of this is that this event was meant to be my new years celebration because I have work the following morning, and when we expressed our concerns to the manager she just told us that “a lot of people waited a long time for their food” like this was an acceptable thing for a prepaid event on a holiday. We ended up leaving before midnight hit without our prepaid champagne or dessert because we were just so fed up and wanted to...
