Visiting the renovated Brady House was on my bucket list since the reno was completed. I grew up watching the show as an escape from a turbulent childhood and when I stepped into the kitchen it felt like going home to a place I'd never been but knew inside and out. The attention to detail, which was everywhere and included letters to Dear Libby, the house of cards for the green stamps contest, the silver platter, Jan's award winning miscalculated essay, a post card from Mike's and Carol's grandparents, a news clipping of hero Peter and on and on, was created with such thorough and loving nods to so many episodes. Standing for a photo on the famous staircase (thanks to the kind security guard who offered to take the photo) was surreal for a super fan. The curator and the security guard were knowledgeable, kind and answered all our questions. Tours are limited to six people and as a result no one gets in anyone's way. You're allowed to take all the photos you want. There is ample parking. This experience was worth every penny. I will definitely go back. Brady fans, do not...
Read moreI was able to surprise my husband James for his 50th birthday with a private and self guided tour of this entire home. Touring the Brady Home is a one of a kind and world class LA experience. The owner, Tina, in accompany with HGTV has painstakingly and miraculously been able to re-construct the sets and bring to life the interiors of the tv show. All ‘rooms’ on both levels of the home are curated perfectly down to the smallest detail. The kitchen with its bright orange formica countertops, Alice’s Bedroom, Mike’s sunken drafting room, Greg’s Attic Apartment, The Brady children’s rooms, Tiger’s Dog house and of course the floating staircase in the living room. Then there are items such as cursed tiki references, a skull in the refrigerator, Kitty-Karry-All Dolls, Davey Jones’ letter to Marcia, the horse statue and even the vase they break in the show. This is an experience for experts in Television history and was worth all the incredible work that went into it. Thank you Tina and Abigail for making Jame’s 50th birthday a once in a...

The house had a big stairway right in the middle; a lot of the action was centered on the staircase. It has been restored to its television beauty. Well, it's a story about a guy named Brady... Great song... for a great old show. It's not a museum, I think somebody lives there, and the pictures you'll get are pretty much the pictures you see here. When I was growing up, I liked...
