Giving one star for being hung up on multiple times. Went here one week prior to this review. I had the best BLT ever. I thought it was fantastic. Thick cut bacon, generous amount full slices, fresh lettuce and tomato. Was only able to eat half. I ate the first half there for breakfast and the other half for lunch. Went back today because I was impressed by that sandwich and wanted it again. This time it was horrible. Very Dried PIECES of bacon (like it was from the day before), tiny wilted lettuce and 2 tiny super thin slices of tomato.
I tried calling to explain was asked to hold and then hung up on. Tried calling back and hung up on several times. If this is an example of how they do business then a one star rating is deserved.
Upgraded to five stars. Management responded quickly. They corrected the mistake. The replacement was as good as the first. They deserved a five star review in the first place. But please don't hang up on people.
Downgraded back to 1 star after trying to kill me. I am allergic to avacado! I asked for no avacado! They put avacado! Sure they refunded it, but too late. Done with the inconsistency. While I was there 2 other guys had to come in and get avacado on the sandwiches they ordered which should have...

We had gone there for my daughter to take her SAT, and (making a wrong turn) followed the street down from Woodrow Wilson H.S. It was a surprise.
They close a little early, so check out their website...it would be worth your trip. David was a gracious host, checked on us, and gave a history of the building. Thanks David.
Looking forward to making a wrong turn again and ending up the...
Read moreAs someone who was raised in El Sereno, it’s heartbreaking to witness what this business has become. We grew up knowing the original owners — they were kind, community-centered, and respectful. But ever since new ownership took over, this place has brought nothing but disappointment and shame.
On 6/11/25, this very spot hosted and served ICE agents — right in the middle of a Latino neighborhood, at a time when our people are actively suffering at the hands of these same agents. With everything going on politically, it’s deeply disheartening to see a local business turn its back on the community it claims to represent.
This isn’t just about food — which, frankly, is overpriced and lacks creativity — it’s about values. And this place no longer...
