I was very disappointed with this place. I drove all the way from Riverside excited a new Trinidadian restaurant open. Bring my jamaican husband with me he is excited too cuz he is used to my trini cooking at home I ordered curry goat roti and other things let me start with the curry goat roti my first bite was roti and potatoes taste good halfway into the roti still taste only potatoes no meat yet down to the bottom of the roti 1 big piece of beef thats it in the entire supposed to b curry goat roti I know the difference between goat and beef and that was definitely beef but only 1 piece in the entire roti then I said let me check my buss up shot with shrimp and supposed to be half chicken no chicken just shrimp with pumpkin and again a bunch of curry potatoes I was truly embarrassed because I brag to my husband that it was gonna be better than the jamaican restaurant mind u the portions was little bit like you feeding a child I went because reviews seem good but man I wouldn't think Saturday will be any restaurants bad day if I was vegan I would say yes the roti skin and potatoes was amazing but I ordered meat and as a trini it was just embarrassing the service now make it worse i watch every1 get their food b4 me that came after me until they realized i been sitting there over 30 min and apologized to me and gave me my order if only i checked my bag right there I would have gave it to them right back but i had already drove back too far...
Read moreWent here on a Saturday afternoon. Place was steady with customers. Parking can be hard to find. Also the parking space is tight for bigger vehicles.
I've seen videos of this place, and I've always wanted to try T&T cuisine. This is more of the street-style food. We got a goat roti and a chickpea double along with a blend of sorrel and ginger pine for the beverage. The kid at the cashier was helpful, but didn't greet us initially. They have an indoor or small outdoor area to eat. Walls were adorned with T&T memorabilia. Got our items. The drink was amazing. Refreshing, gingery, but overpowering with hints of plum. The goat roti was so damn good. Insane flavors, the meat was tender and the roti was thin, but held everything well. You eat with your hands. The spice level is pretty high up, but with the seasonings, everything works great. I also got a currant cake and that was the perfect finish to a complex meal.
Overall, absolutely worth the drive! So many options that you have to come here more than once to experience the different menus. The owner came out and she...
Read moreI've been a huge fan of curry dishes, whether they be Indian, Thai or Jamaican, And now thanks to TriniStyle Cuisine, I've discovered Trinidadian Curry. And it is delicious! I came here with a large party and we tried several of the menu items, We were all delighted and ended up sharing all of our dishes. I also love that they have several fish dishes here (in addition to shrimp), a very healthy item that's missing at many restaurants.
A very nice touch was our getting to meet the owner and chef Merlin. An amazing woman who dazzled us with not only her culinary skills but also with her genuine friendliness and desire to serve GREAT FOOD to the community.
My only complaint is they're only open 3 days a week (Fri thru Sun). Hopefully that will expand to 7 days a week as we all get out of pandemic mode.
We'll all be coming back regularly to TriniStyle Cuisine, now one of my favorite restaurants in the...
