We ordered a variety of foods. The burger was pretty good... and you can believe it because the critic is a 9 year old discerning burger specialist. The steak tacos were dry and premade. There was minimal ingredients that make up what a beef taco is. No taste, whatsoever... and I mean, they were bland. No cilantro, no avocado, no lime no salsa... it was a soggy soft taco with dry beef and a few pieces of dry cabbage. I guess the mayo based sauce was supposed to give the flavor. Mexican food is simple and fresh ingredients with basic spices and bold flavors. These tacos missed the mark, by a lot. The bbq wings were sticky and messy just how i like them, but the flavor was very store bought bbq sauce. Not great... not terrible, but not great. The crispy chicken wrap was not good, it wasent crispy, it had no taste, and it wasent what I thought it would be.
There is a recent trend in resteraunts to vamp up or disguise taste with sauces, many made with high calorie mayo base. I don't understand this trend. If your burger, chicken or steak needs a sauce to "improve" or give flavor to what should already be tasty well seasoned food, then your doing something wrong. Its one thing to enhance flavor, its another to expect that ppl should have some taco with thier Chipotle mayo sauce. Unfortunately this resteraunt uses sauces way too much.
This resteraunt used to be Orange Delight. That establishment, which was a long-standing establishment in the Valley area, was really quite good. It suffered from none of these issues specified above. While they were a bit expensive, they served consistently good fresh food that was offered up with robust tastes and fresh ingredients. The owners sold the buisness to the current owners and retired out of state. Too bad, they really knew how to run a resteraunt with excellent, fresh and tasty offerings. The current owners believed that what the Kosher consuming LA diner needed was another bland fast food burger joint dusguised as concept dinning establishment. Ehhh... the place was middling for us. Overpriced and underwhelming. Maybe they will take to heart this review and think on thier menu and concept. ... but hey, my 9 year old...
Read moreWe are a strictly kosher family and used to be regulars when this location was Orange Delite. Unfortunately, since the ownership change, our experiences have gone downhill.
Weâve given the new Burger Bar a few chances, but this last visit will be our final one. My husband ordered the crispy chicken plate and was served extremely dry, chewy chickenâit was clearly old and reheated. Completely unacceptable. He returned it, and it took another 20 minutes to receive a freshly made plate, which was noticeably better. That only confirmed our suspicion that the first portion was reheated leftovers.
I ordered the Chinese chicken salad, and my chicken was fineâfurther highlighting the inconsistency and lack of quality control.
To make matters worse, my husbandâs stomach began hurting after eating the initial portion, which is deeply concerning.
We were extremely disappointed. Serving reheated food at these prices, with possible health risks, is unacceptable. Sadly, we can no longer recommend this place and will not be returning. Save your money and...
Read moreTo be honest, we order from here often and this past order we ordered chicken fingers with sweet chili sauce on it, not on the side. What we received was plane chicken fingers. The same happened with the buffalo wings that came plane rather than bbq. On the Uber eats app we clicked the correct section as we do it all the time. Foe some reason the manager believed they got it right on their end and that it must be uber eats problem. This is a very sad occurrence because they didn't really care that we received the wrong order and wouldn't help at all. See proof...
