What a disappointment. This was our go to sushi place for almost 3 years at least once a week!
New ownership took this place over, changed name from Izakaya M to Zen Toro, slapped on some new paint, printed out some fancier menus, and then rolled out higher prices and undelivered. The service was slow, even though there was only about 4 people in there on a Saturday night. They got our dish wrong twice, and when pointing this out the server got defensive and tried to debate us until we had to dissect the roll in front of them to showcase it. Seriously?

The food? Absolutely stellar. Sushi is incredibly fresh, with highlights like the Zen Course and Their 10pcs omakase . The Beef Tongue and Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice are must-try hot dishes, expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. Their sake selection and desserts, especially their Green Tea Creme Brule, round out the meal beautifully.
Service is warm, attentive, and consistent, making every visit feel special. Zen Toro is more than a restaurant—it’s a hidden gem worth discovering.

They just opened for lunch after three months as a new restaurant so we popped in for some sushi. The host couldn’t have been more welcoming so we took a seat at the sushi bar in front of the sushi chef Sam. We ordered a couple of their specialty rolls which were outstanding and were treated to a slice of king salmon topped with shaved truffles and black caviar. It was incredible. Even their iced green tea was awesome - not watery and very flavorful. Their ingredients are top notch, only the freshest fish and ingredients that they import from all over the world. And to make it sound even better, their prices were very reasonable. I would give this restaurant 10...
