While I cannot speak to the quality of other readers at this location, I can confidently say DO NOT EVER GET A READING FROM CERINA! My nieces arranged a reading for me at the Sherman Oaks location. I specifically chose Cerina based on her positive reviews. I was unfortunately horrified by my experience with her and would recommend that you rethink getting a reading from her.
My nieces and i arrived on time for our 7:15 appointments. While my nieces were escorted to their readings on time, I waited in the store for Cerina. I was told by the manager that Cerina would come out and find me in the store to escort me to my reading. I had never met Cerina before and thus could not recognize her. She came out of her office but failed to introduce herself or direct me to her room. Not knowing that she was my reader due to her lack of professionalism, I did not meet with her during our scheduled appointment and was instructed by the manager to wait by her room until she was available. I waited for an hour before the manager called Cerina to let her know that she was supposed to meet with me. When Cerina came out, she refused to acknowledge me and proceeded to completely dehumanize me. Rather than speaking to me directly, she spoke to my niece and claimed that I didn’t follow her and thus missed my appointment because I was “tripping out.” Cerina remarked that she “didn’t know how to use my chair” referring to the wheelchair I use, and that “she didn’t need this in her day.” Cerina took no accountability for her lack of professionalism and her obvious discrimination towards me as a person with a disability and a wheelchair user. My nieces and I were horrified by the way Cerina treated me and will never come back to...
Read moreI drove 45 minutes only to find the main store was closed. I was at the Annex on 12/29/24 at 2pm, and the dark-haired young guy was so unnecessarily rude. All I did was ask him if the main store was open and he lashed out at me. Didn't even look at me when he did that. What a horrible, horrible foul human being. They do a terrible job at choosing who to work at this place. The hiring manager is just as responsible. Also, this Annex store is tiny.
I noticed I'm not alone in the rudeness people have experienced going to the Psychic Eye. Just look at many of the other reviews. So many complaining about the same issue. Maybe whoever runs this place should look into that, but something tells me they don't care. It starts from the top down. There is no professionalism there. I had got to know some of the readers there over the years that are no longer there. When I asked them why so many of them leave, they said the place is not a great place to work at. They confirmed the rudeness and how unspiritual it truly is. That may be why so many of the locations have been closing down over the years. There's only a few left. There used to be much more of them. They're not interested in improving the place and don't care either. They've shown that.
I ended up going to the House of Intuition instead and what an amazing place that was. Wonderful staff at that place. Go...
Read moreIt’s a good store with lots of necessary tools. Great atmosphere I can tell the spiritual hygiene is great and I’m sure the staff is too. A couple are quick to assume you’re stealing, but i don’t blame them, it’s a nice store. But i did get a sense of being watched heavily, although I’m sure there’s lots of folks who have stolen there in the past. I will also say that they should be more mindful of what they have in stock, as a lot of it belongs to closed practices, such as their 8 African Powers necklaces. I asked if they had anyone who was experienced in hoodoo, vodoun, or santeria working at their store, simply because i was curious. To my surprise, they did not. They are knowledgeable on some things but clearly not everything, and i don’t think that tools belonging to closed practices should be in such a commercial metaphysical store without somebody who has the knowledge and experience w said closed practices working there. That’s just a personal gripe of mine though. Not sure if their palo santo is ethically sourced either. They even had a Santa Muerte “altar” which was not properly set up and she was not proper being taken care of(no water, no bread or incense etc). You’ll know if this store is right for you the minute you walk in. Still a cool place to visit tho, no hate, just...
