My kid was in tear right in front of me because after an hour wait, finally getting a sit, the rude waiter refused to take our order. We are the only two Asian customers in the restaurant. We ordered Unagi Sushi and a large beer. The rude waiter said we have to order more and asked us to leave the store. After my boy burst into tears and then every Caucasian customer starts paying attention to the side table we sit, I got to talk to the boss who was behind the bar the whole time and explained what happened. Finally our order was taken. I would never come back to this store again. The first time I felt so left out after being in the States for 15 years was in this Japanese restaurant. We’ve been going to Shiroi since way before Covid. We went tonight and it was terrible. New ownership is absolutely garbage. I almost left before we started because there wasn’t the football game on TV. Apparently the new ownership is cutting costs. Apparently they are okay with cutting customers as well the place was almost empty on a Thursday night at 7:30.
