Unacceptable Customer Service Experience
Today, I had the most appalling experience of my life at this antique store in Los Gatos. The man who appeared to be the owner was extremely rude and unprofessional. As I was browsing, I noticed a beautiful crystal stand and gently touched it to observe the light reflection. Without any warning, he stormed over and shouted at me, "Why are you doing this? Who said you can do this? GO AWAY!" His tone was aggressive and completely uncalled for.
A simple, polite request like, "Please, we ask that customers refrain from touching the items," would have been appropriate. Instead, I was publicly humiliated and left speechless by his hostile demeanor. Another customer nearby witnessed the incident, told the owner, "You are really rude," and promptly left the store as well. They were equally shocked and appalled by his behavior.
Being told to "Go away" by a store owner is something I have never experienced before. No matter how beautiful the items in the store may be, the owner's disrespectful attitude completely tarnishes the experience. His behavior is the antithesis of the welcoming and friendly spirit of the Los Gatos community. I genuinely wonder how this business continues to operate with such deplorable customer service. I strongly advise others to think twice before...
Read moreIt’s always a treat to visit this antique store, and as years passed by, we have made quite a few purchases from the owner Nino. He is a man with such knowledge and taste, and most importantly, such generosity and integrity when it comes to doing this business. He is especially generous with his knowledge, passion and love for antique collections and various materials, and it warms our heart every single time that he shares all he knows with us young people. He has such great eyes for items, so it was so easy to spend hours browsing endless collections in his store, and more good ones come out from his storage all the time. He is very reasonable in his pricing, and doesn’t inflate the price waiting for people to cut it down and negotiate. I have come to cherish not only doing business and collecting art from Nino, but also making friends with this cool person with stories to tell. Thank you Nino. I will always be your store’s loyal fans. Thanks for enlightening young people like us in the fascinating world of antique...
Read moreI loved visiting the pop up store in Los Gatos. Nino, the owner is friendly and has a lot of knowledge when it comes to antiques of all types. I have used his auction services twice now and am very pleased with the amount of work he puts into describing as well as taking multiple photos of the pieces, also grouping them together with similar items.
The online auction is very easy to access and watch or even bid on items once you download the app.
If you have something you're thinking about selling, I highly recommend you give him a call. No pressure, just good information from a man who has been doing this for a long time.
If your in the market for some interesting items, take a look at the items in the coming auction. Some really nice treasures to be...
