Very nice staff, food was fast and decent. Not high cuisine, but more in the vein of having good food to eat as you're sitting with friends all afternoon. My cheese steak was great, and my wife had a hotdog that was too spicy for her. We switched and it was fine. We sat outside, and the patio was very pleasant. We didn't even know they had a little dog run with seating. We'll definitely bring the pooch and come back sometime. Only negatives were they were out of stock on my first choice of beer which can certainly happen. Also, I don't know if this is usual behavior here, but a few people were leaving the brewery on motorcycles and spent a good five minutes stationary revving them incredibly loudly. It definitely put a damper on the experience, especially with seating just a few feet away. We've only been here once, but something to be aware of.

While the beer is good, I believe that the owner/s must have a cardiologist in the family since the food is about as grease laced as it can be. Cold sandwiches, soup, pizza, etc. are NOT to be found on the menu. As for the chips/salsa…salsa is good; the chips are mediocre at best. Quite noisy, even when there’s hardly any crowd there. Outside area with picnic tables and a few regular (plastic) tables is not bad. There are other places that have much better menus. ALSO…they don’t pour a full pint. As you can see in the photo below. You get maybe 12oz and pay for a pint. Unfortunately, many of the brewpubs in Albuquerque do this. Less beer for us; more money for them. Still not pouring a full pint. Add on to my review…they still don’t pour a pint!!!!!!!

I can highly recommend this as a great place to go to enjoy some locally brewed beers as well as some quite tasty food. We split an order of queso and chips and a French dip sandwich. The queso had a rich and spicy flavor, perfectly complementing the tortilla chips. The French dip was very good indeed- with a generous amount of nicely seasoned meat and a tasty au jus. I will definitely come back just to enjoy the French dip again. We also enjoyed a few of their brewed beers- a honey wheat as well as cream ale called the “new kid”. Both were refreshing and easy to drink. All in all, this is a wonderful place to enjoy a few micro brews and has the great bonus of offering some tasty food.

We went to hops on 9/14/2022 and the experience there was excellent. Hops Brewery is in a renovated church with Thunderbird plates attached to the wooden interior columns. They offer a rotation of guest beers/ciders from local breweries atop their own offerings. Their Cerveza has a light taste as expected yet packs a welcomed punch on the backside. Their Green Chile Burger and B-B-Q Quesadilla is excellent. The brisket was tender and lean. The burger grilled exactly to my perference. The burger was large enough for me to request a knife and fork. I enjoyed their salsa that is included in the quesadilla, the tortilla chips are flavorful and have a crunch that was highly enjoyable. Sierra knowledgeable and enjoyable. I apologize for not remembering the name of the other lady yet I know her name started with the letter "L" (my apologies for forgetting). They both were prompt and accommodating including answering any question we had asked. Thank you to all the staff at Hops Brewery for giving us an excellent experience. Your business has a charming feel, atmosphere, and interior design. We will return the next time we are in...

I used to be a big fan of Hops, as my friends and I went weekly to go to the bar trivia in Nob hill for years. But unfortunately the Nob Hill location closed just before covid. Never felt quite at home in the north valley, as it didn’t have the charm like Nob hill. Smaller food selection, no dessert, and about half the drink selection. But after a couple years North Valley bought Geeks Who Drink back. My friends and I decided it was worth a shot again, and decided to start going. It was still fun, we made it work, but once again, Hops pulled the rug out from under us by cancelling Geeks. It was pretty depressing because the first week after cancellation, the bar was dead, which seemed pretty counterintuitive to the reasoning for cancelling it. We always ordered a lot and we were generous and friendly with the staff. But trivia is our staple, and we’ve had to move on. I’m sorry, but personally I think management has been taking Hops in a wrong direction for a while now, and I just don’t see myself returning. I wish y’all luck...

4.5 out of 5, but only because the food menu could use some...inspiration. But let's forget about the food because this is a brewery, a place where you're meant to be able to relax with a pint in hand, and this is a place you can bring your fur-baby four legged friends with you while you enjoy that tasty adult beverage. The fully-enclosed dog area is safe for almost all dogs down to the smallest of sizes, with plenty of mulch and room to run, a spigot for water, and lots of human seating to climb on. There's plenty of seating indoors as well, with a decent sized bar to fly onto, if you know what I mean. Super cheerful service from the staff round out the reasons Hops is a place worth spending a few hours on a sunny afternoon with your pack at. The beer will quench your thirst, with a solid selection on tap, but the outdoor seating options are the top draw here. Get your friends, and your friend's dogs together, and go have a pint...with the BBQ nachos, that's the one menu standout. Love...
