Review for Kelly Jo Designs
I’ve been a regular at Kelly Jo Designs for years, enjoying their paint and wine classes as well as pottery painting. However, my experience at the Boss Ross class tonight has me rethinking my future visits.
While I appreciate the effort to connect with Bob Ross, the session didn’t quite deliver. The theme felt disconnected from the class itself, aside from occasionally using Bob Ross terminology and painting a waterfall. Unfortunately, the session started late and felt rushed, which detracted from the enjoyment of the experience.
Additionally, the stools were in poor condition—wobbly and uncomfortable, making it challenging to focus on painting. The brushes were also old and falling apart, which further impacted the overall experience. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and accommodating, which I truly appreciate.

Read moreHighly recommended — Kelly Jo was amazing when we request accomodation for my husband’s chair needs because of back pain and we also requested a special seating location due to my husband’s hearing loss. They also kept the background music down low, which was great since he has trouble understanding if there is noise interference. Kelly Jo accommodated very very well. My husband had never experienced any sort of recreational painting — and he had the most fun out of our entire party! If someone is wondering if any persons with support or alternative needs can experience Kelly Jo events — know that they are very open to navigating any needs a person has. Calling to communicate about these requests and arriving early allowed us to problem-solve and get it all squared away to thoroughly enjoy our night — and I deeply thank you, all of the Kelly Jo staff, from the bottom of my heart —- for going above and beyond to ensure we all had a...
Read moreAtmosphere is great for all types of occations: just for fun with friends, birthdays, family functions, etc. People bring in snacks to eat while painting and Kelly Jo's accommodates this without hesitation. The front of the store is filled with jewelry and pottery for sale, great gift items. The area for painting is set up well, they have tables with easels spread out enough not to feel crowded. I always get there a little early so I can get a seat at the left end of a table since I'm left handed. Never have a problem seeing what the teacher is showing even if I'm at the back. Their supplies are not worn out so there is no frustration. They keep technique simple so no stress there either. Even though they sell wine during the class, it is still family friendly not a bar atmosphere! I highly recommend giving this...
