The food is good. Staff are very nice. The owner on the other hand is extremely unprofessional. He over charged me almost half the amount for an order. After getting home, checking the online menu, which wasn’t updated as in store). I went back the next day to be refunded. The charge wasn’t the problem but his delivery and attitude on requesting a refund. He refused to refund me correctly n became extremely defensive, I kept explaining I simply needed to be refunded correctly. He wouldn’t refund the full amount then began fussing waved his hands in my face pointing fingers, trying to shoe me away for wanting to double check my calculation, which he totaled incorrectly again, and spoke down to me as “certain” men feel entitled to do to women. Kept waving his hands in my face shooing me without reimbursement. I had to stand restating I just needed to be reimbursed. He tried intimidating me saying there are cameras. I responded ok so please reimburse me the correct amount? He then stated “listen kid I’m 52 yrs old n not a liar. I don’t need your money or business”. I replied, “cool, I’m a 37 yr woman who’s being ignored and your not being professional to paying customers. We all make mistakes so reimburse me my amount owed”. This man/owner is beyond unprofessional, cheap and speaks down to women
Check your total when you go here so you don’t have to asked for a refund and be yelled at like I...
Read moreI went here because the Byblos in Lakeside Mall was amazing and unfortunately, they shut down. I thought this Byblos would serve the same things or at least provide the same kind service. I was wrong. We got the chicken salad, a side of hummus, side of brussel sprouts, a side of steamed eggplant, a falafel wrap and a 20oz soda. Food is served on paper plates when you dine in. Eggplant and brussel sprouts were warmed in the microwave at the front counter. I was not pleased with the microwaved veggies. Eggplant was o.k. brussel sprouts were nasty. Salad was very good and hummus was fair. The falafel wrap was good but Shyan's Kitchen's wrap is better and so is their hummus. No one was friendly and the energy is rather tense...or maybe that's because the owner (I assume he was the owner) was relishing in the fact that the Byblos at Lakeside Mall had gone out of busines.. He was even laughing about it and bragging that his prices are higher and that's why he's in business. I ate there out of pure hunger. However, I will never return. I will forever long for the food at Byblos Lakeside Mall. I wish they would've raised their prices instead of closed...the food and service was...
Read moreRun, don't walk, to Byblos! My partner and I stopped here on a whim for brunch last weekend, drawn in by the high reviews. The experience was excellent from start to finish. We shared the veggie platter, on which we enjoyed the fried eggplant, spanakopita, veggie-stuffed grape leaves, and falafel. The food was incredibly fresh, intentionally seasoned, and delightfully satisfying without being too much. Even with splitting the plate, we were both full and able to complete our day's errands in the area. I also appreciated the thoughtful service and friendly staff, who answered all of our questions with patience and kindness. This place is clearly family-run, which served the warm vibe and authenticity. Lastly, I loved the imported Greek foods which were available in the market attached to the restaurant. There were so many delicious options to choose from, from baking dates to preserved grape leaves ready to enjoy at home. Being some of the best Greek food I've had in the Southeast, I cannot wait to return to Byblos for another delicious meal. This restaurant will certainly be a place we return to on a...
