Service: 1/10 Girl working was really rude. Checked to see if dessert was vegetarian friendly (ie if there was lard in the crust)... she treated me like I was insane for asking about lard (without even knowing what lard is). Then was visibly annoyed when I asked her to ask someone who bakes and knows what lard is. She came back to me and told me the crust is "milk, sugar, and dough". A statement that confounded me. What is the "dough"? Turned out it was flour... so the crust is vegetarian-friendly. Glad we got that out of the way with only a handful of eye-rolling and annoyed stares.

Food: 3/10 We were surprised and disappointed here... We purchased the creme brûlée cheesecake and lemon tart. The cheesecake was OK at best. The texture was good, but lacking heavily in the flavor dept. No real brûlée on top (so we did it ourselves), unfortunately not even the shatter could fix the sadness. As for lemon tart.. filling was good. I enjoyed that. Topped with 2 inches of dense whipped cream that I shoveled off the top. The crust... the infamous crust that caused all the nasty looks from the service section of this review... was terrible. Chewy, underbaked, flavorless, and absolutely horrible. Really. It was baaaaddddd. Like bad bad. Like seriously bad. So I ate a bite of cheesecake and the filling from a lemon tart.

Atmosphere: 2/10 So I've passed a bunch of times and did not expect what I walked in to. The place is dim. Very small retail space with a few tables. Looked old, outdated, and like no one has taken care of it in a long long time.

All-in-all, I'm giving a 2-star that should probably be a 1. I NEVER like to badmouth local businesses. I own a couple, and I know how difficult it is to run them. But the sheer disappointment of my experience and food.. I felt an obligation to let others know. I shouldn't have wasted the $11 here. I should've gone elsewhere... the alternative was a crepe cake... knew I should've gone with the...

I came in today to get a fruit cake for my mom and dad’s birthday. The only fruit cake available on display were the really large sized ones so I asked the worker if there was anything smaller and she said that there was. She rang up the cake with only strawberries on top. I asked her if that was the fruit cake just to be sure and she said it was. This is my first time buying cake here since my parents are usually the one to buy it, so I bought it and went home. We just cut up the cake and it was just strawberry only. This was probably just some miscommunication since strawberry is a fruit but I was looking to get the cake that had a variety of fruits on it. I thought the strawberry cake would be called strawberry cake and the variety cake would just be called a fruit cake but I guess not? I’ll be honest and say that I didn’t read the names of the cake so idk what they’re called in store lol Overall the strawberry cake looked great and the taste was decent (just a bit dry), but we would’ve enjoyed the fruit one more. I’d still come again but would make sure that I’m clear with what I’m looking for next...

It would be zero stars but that’s not an option. Went to the Clearview location about 30 min ago for the first time ever. I went in for some vanilla macarons and the boy who helped me used large metal tongs (that I use to flip steaks on the grill) and just dropped them in an oversized pastry box. When I got in my car I looked at them and he cracked several of them with the tongs and the edges of the macarons are really really soggy!! I literally just wasted $15 on plus a $2 tip on 6 macarons that I cannot use or eat. I am so annoyed and now I have to go to Whole Foods hoping they have some descent ones. Which by the way... I found out Whole Foods has 6 packs of macarons for $9.99. I was trying to save some time on a cake order I have for a client by purchasing the macarons but next time I know better and will just make them myself. I never write reviews and this is my first one ever on Google but I am so upset about this that I felt the need to express how bad this place was. Not to mention... the boy who helped me seemed miserable and wasn’t...

I ordered their 8-inch Fruit Chantilly Cake for my mom’s birthday ($34.90 excluding tax), which serves about 8-10 people. The cake was so delicious! The taste was very smooth and was not overly sweet. I had pre ordered them on the phone a couple days ahead. Pricing was not bad at all considering the good quality of it. Service was nice when I picked up the cake. The inside was neat and organized as well. I also ordered an additional Mini Mocha Cake ($6.25) and Medium Fruit Tart ($5.05) during my pick up. Both desserts were tasty as well. I’ve never tried their actual savory dishes here, but I’ll gladly say that Chez Pierre is a classic spot in Metairie when it comes to Viet/French pastries and desserts

This is a pleasant little café which was a nice surprise when I came in. I really, really wish that places like this would serve coffee in ceramic cups rather than paper ones. I cannot stand espresso being served in full-sized cups - how hard would it be to have a few demi-tasse cups for espresso when you go to the trouble of being able to serve the stuff? Nevertheless, the coffee - whilst not specialty - is perfectly adequate. There is a huge range of cakes and patisserie available. The staff are very polite and attentive.

So, decided to eat here while my truck was being worked on. I ordered a poboy, but definitely not what they said it was. I asked for no pickle carrots and no cucumber, it was suppose to come with cilantro and jalapeños. Does this look like it has cilantro or jalapeños, unfortunately I was too tired to complain. Been a long day, this was disappointing. Honestly what's the point of the menu, if the staff doesn't follow it. Make sure to double check on your order as they put it in. So much for the 20% tip. The regret I feel.
