DXL Big + Tall — Local services in Metairie

I'd been going to DXL back when it was still called Casual Male XL back in 2006. I went to an outlet store for years before "DXL" came on the scene and had stores here in Metairie.

I've been going to this DXL since before they moved into Clearview shopping center, and they used to be a much smaller location further up Veterans Blvd.

They've consistently been helpful, polite and professional, anything from me just buying pants for work, to at least twice needing a new suit for interviews. They make great recommendations that I trust (they know more about how clothes match together than I probably ever will...), and I've always been happy with the final results.

I have never been so rudely treated at a store before! I don't know what problem the sales girl had with us only wanting a suit jacket and not pants as well. We tried on a single suit jacket before her condescending, rude attitude drove us out of the store. She condescendingly said there's no reason for us to be shopping there instead of Macy's.

The last time we went to DXL was in Pittsburgh and they were amazing. We dropped over $300 because they UPSOLD us and weren't rude. When a customer says "well I can shop elsewhere if you want" it's usually a hint to drop your attitude. Will NEVER go here again and will tell everyone I know to...

They aren't a tall store. They're just big now. Don't sell pants that are 32,34,36,38, 40. Been a loyal customer for over a decade. Spent over $65k on clothes in that span. And now you don't sell pants that fit me. Don't even sell them online... Now I'm spending $0 going forward. I can buy the shirts and suits from the designers...
