Yes. It's a five stars. No this isn't a HIGHFALUTIN place and yes highfalutin is a real word, I checked. If you have never tried real Mediterranean food this is the place to start. I tried five meat items and they were all delicious and fresh. The Tea was so fresh and perfect. They have complimentary appetizer of pickled veggies and olives. Try the cleopatra sampler appetizer. First off the price is right and you get to try a lot bomb stuff like stuffed grape leaves. I got the lamb shank and had no clue how to eat it like a lady. Luckily, the meat just fell off the bone so I still have my lady like card. If none of this has moved you to try this place, listen up.. our waitress Lucero has worked there for 10 years and she is not bitter. She was delightful and told us about her favorite food and if even if she was just working for a tip, I loved her. I feel bad for people who drove by this place not knowing there is small treasure in there. I could go on about the salad and the in house made baklava but if you aren't convinced by now... well... that's on you and my...
Read moreThis place has really great food, with generous portions. The dishes are a little unusual to a Louisiana native, starting with the pickled vegetables served with the bread (pita) and continuing through the hummus and rice served with the main courses, but all of the flavors are very complimentary, and produce an amazing experience.
We tried the meat pie appetizer, the Sultan's Kabobs, and the Gyro platter. The meat pies were a great start to the meal, served with tsaziki, and had a very tender crust. The kabobs were perfectly cooked, and the meat was very tender with excellent flavor. The gyro platter had a surprising amount of food, and the gyro meat had great flavor and texture without being greasy.
We finished it off with baklava, which was served warm, and was notable for its tasty filling.
I will definitely eat here again,...
Read moreWalking into the place, it appears so exclusive & beautiful that we thought that it was only based on reservations. Apparently it wasn't as our server came out shortly and told us we can sit anywhere. On request, she recommended the Grilled salmon & boiled tilapia fish. I got the salmon and hubby got the tilapia. However, I didn't like my salmon. It's tasty and all but it wasn't my thing. She read the expression on my face and asked if I wanted to speak to the manager...I said ok reluctantly. The manager came and asked if I'm enjoying my meal and I said no and he asked me to pick anything else I want. He even served me another lentil soup while I waited. The lentil soup by the way was very delicious. I highly recommend this place. So far, the best Mediterranean experience I have had and I have been to 4 different other ones...
