So tonight my husband and i order two shrimp poboys from comeback inn using the Uber Eats app, the app didn’t show an option for just shrimp only, it showed shrimp/catfish poboy $18, in the special instructions i selected shrimp only. I order two like this, and an order of onion rings, tipped the driver total was roughy $70. They delivered half catfish/shrimp poboy, i Calle the store and the girl that answered the call was explaining my complaint and i over heard a women making sarcastic jokes at my expense…”well gee maybe i should’ve entered the shrimp po boy”in a voice that mimicked a handicap person. .i asked who that was and the young lady said it was her manager Susan. Maybe Susan should find another line of work, or if she wants to make fun of customer, she should at least be smart enough to do where one can’t hear. Maybe the “manager” should familiarize herself with the menu available on the app. Will never order from them again, and will let others know what Susan thinks...

I am shocked that I have not been here, and had high hoped based off of everyone I knew who had been. Well my expectations fell flat. The food was sub par at best. It had some decent flavor, but it did not taste fresh in the least. The bread felt stale and was not what Frenchbread should be. The bread pudding was decent and had a nice flavor. But it was close to the lime as well. It was simply not enough to appease our situation. Given what we paid for this meal, it was dissapointing. And if this is a reflection on how the rest of the menu tastes, I don't know if I would come back. Know times are tough and gold help is hard to find. But I also feel like quality should javelin to suffer and I felt it did here. I'm not hoping that someone see's this and just turns away. I'm hoping someone associated with this place sees this and tries to rectify the situation and make the next situation with more quality. I don't think we will be back, but we wish...

Only go here out of desperation. Came here and got the hamburger steak and potatoes plate and it was absolutely terrible. Hamburger steaks tasted like they came straight out of the freezer and the mashed potatoes were firm and undercooked. Everything was also completely unseasoned. I mean come on at least add some salt and pepper.. Not to mention that for six dollars cheaper I can get a far better hamburger steak and potatoes plate from a discount store... specifically River Road discount in Destrehan. Definitely recommend you go there instead, hamburger steak on Tuesday.

Update, came back today(6 months later) and tried the spaghetti and meatballs and as an italian i am offended. No redeeming qualities. bread was a little stale. salad was trash lettuce with olives on it. And the spaghett? Atrocious. There is no flavor to it. The sauce is worse than ragu. The meatballs were unseasoned. At least the pasta was cooked well but...

An amazing local eatery with the best of local food. The dining room is huge, and can accommodate folks with plenty of room to spread out as so much of their business is take out for the locals. The Monday special of red beans and rice with the option of subbing in a pork chop instead of the sausage was wonderful, it was hot, creamy, and satisfying, the pork chop was crisp around the edges, rich in just the right ways, and tender to the bite. The enormous catfish and fries was so good, the catfish so fresh and the batter so light, it was easy to actually eat it all. All the mains come with a salad of some sort, and the red beans and rice came with pillowy buttered bread. The service up front was quick, efficient, and very cheerful to fix mistakes. They'd forgotten to put the pork chop on the red beans and rice to start, and when it was pointed out they just went and fixed it.

I've been coming here for years and have their daily specials memorized like the pledge of allegiance. Had everything on the menu multiple times. Things to get: Muffalata (Probably the BEST MUFFALETTA IN THE CITY), Hot dog poboy, JOE DON, Any seafood poboy, country fried steak (Sunday), Crawfish pasta (Friday), Seafood Muffaletta (a lil pricy but WELL WORTH IT), Corn and crab bisque, and old fashion red beans and rice. Constantly send people to this place for lunch. Amazing place for home cook food. Recommend 10 out of 10.

I ordered a roast beef poboy, and asked first if it was cooked in house. The girl assured me it was. When I sat down to eat, I can tell at first bite this was not homemade. This was roast they bought whole and sliced into the gravy. I was very disappointed, but hungry and ate it anyway. I also asked for crispy fries and they were not cooked crispy. I hate when people lie and say food is homemade when it is not. I will not eat here again.
