Taco Daddy’s — Restaurant in Kenner

Came in to tried the tacos. Second time I've been there had the birra pizza first time it was cold but I chalked that up to being a cold night.. ordered two tacos and I attempted to order two tostadas girl had no clue what I was talking about. She had to ask her boss. They went and saw if they had the shells. They said yes. I guarantee you that wasn't the case cuz it took 30 minutes to make that So it comes with no refried beans.. so the layers go shell meat lettuce? I'm assuming that was supposed to be sour cream lettuce and for some odd reason they decide to top it off with a cucumber salad dressing and all which made all the tostadas soggy. I guess I'm just not used to the Southern tacos. I sent this to my Puerto Rican buddy and she didn't even know what the hell that was .. my Mexican buddies questioning what the heck that was in the group chat? So I brought it back up there cuz I'm not paying $16 for that I asked her what this was and she was like oh, it's American style like who puts cucumber salad on a tostada. Oh that's how we do it. I was like you literally asked me lettuce and tomato. She was like no those were for the taco. So I told her I'm not paying for those tostadas And an attitude began with her when I mentioned that she rang them up as steak burritos But tostadas.. So obviously they're equivalent of each other and I looked at it. I was like do you put cucumber salad in a burrito and then oh the attitude became even worse than you ate this already and she huffed over to the manager.. manager didn't say anything which is awesome And then throws the receipt at my hand.. So to each their own, try it. Maybe you'll have a better...

Great spot for Mexican. The queso with taco meat is a must. Taco Birria are also on point.

EDIT: Been eating here relatively regularly. However, the service has gradually gotten to the point that I won't be going back. Waited 45 minutes for food yesterday. We received one entree...but had to ask about the second. Finally came after an hour. Sent it back. I'm done. Best of luck!! This food was so delicious, during dinner I started calling my husband by his government name- Daddy is now reserved for this place 😂 Seriously though, the portions are generous, more importantly the food is amazing.
