Triple check your orders! Start salting your fries. I know its a whole extra 2 seconds but we dont want unsalted potatoes. Stop being lazy. I watched the cook pour the unsalted fries from the fryer basket onto my Styrofoam to go container. Use tongs, be better. I made the mistake of trying this place and that will be the LAST TIME.
I place a door dash order for patty melt and fries. Arrive and wait 10 mins for food. They asked my name. I told them, handed me box. It was tied in plastic bag so I didn't open it since it was raining. I drive the 15 mins back to work (already late and plus its raining) just to realize it's a ham sandwich instead of the patty melt I paid for.
The same ham sandwich i eat eevry single day for lunch at home. Im sick of ham and wanted a burger but nooooooooooo
What really drives me nuts is incompetence. Now you lost a customer for life. Probably two customers bc somebody else got MY patty melt. First and last time trying this place. The worst part is the sandwich is on untoasted, white bread with no butter or anything. And to top it off, they have the phone off the hook. It's been busy signal for an hour. Who runs a business with no phone for ordering?!?!...
Read moreWe have been going to Dot’s from time to time while our son has been receiving cancer treatment at Ochsner’s since 2015. We have always enjoyed the food and have had wonderful service. Today was different. Granted it’s the day after hurricane Francine and they were short handed. The food was wonderful. But we were overcharged (greatly!) But did not realize it until after we paid and looked closer at the receipt. What appalled us was when we questioned it the employee said I’m not the server. You need to take it up with the server and he just left!!! So, needless to say we paid over $40 (including a hefty tip) for what should have been no more than a $25 check!! I’m not very good at math but that’s something like a 60% mark up! Much more than inflation at the grocery store. I have never written any review before for anything but this really got under my skin. We will go back to Dot’s because one employee shouldn’t deter us from frequenting an establishment that we otherwise have enjoyed in the past. But we will not forget the server and will choose to go somewhere else if he is the only option...

We decided to eat outside the hotel and I was googling breakfast places near the hotel and lo and behold “Dots Diner” popped up and the reviews were great. Checked the menu ahead and it’s exactly what we wanted. Completing my Facebook Tour of America visiting Friends it was the perfect choice. It was great meeting Katie and Her Husband and her Daughter Samantha. The Restaurant brings you back to simplicity and comfort foods. Pleasant staff welcomes you the way you were welcomed when I was younger. That folks is about 40 years ago. Great prices and plentiful dishes. The President of the Restaurant Mark was sitting at the next table and was pleasant and hospitable. The waitress Pamela was competent and very Friendly.
