Edited from 5 star to 1 star after multiple visits with poor service:
I have to update my review after the last few visits....
We have been regulars at El Paso (My family dined at El Paso last Friday) since the restaurant opened. The last few times the service has been terrible. When we order fajitas, we expect to receive enough tortillas (more than three small soft shells). We do not expect to pay $.50 for one extra tortilla and $1.25 for a small container (sauce size container) of shredded cheese.
Queso should be warm and not chunks of cheese that aren’t melted. We asked the queso to be heated, and the container was delivered to the table again with cheese not melted. Finally, the cheese was melted the third time.
The bill was delivered before I could ask for an extra tortilla. We ordered dessert, and the server asked, ”Would you like the ice cream and churros for here or to go?”
I would like ice cream to go, so the time we get home melts it, or my child can make a mess in the car.
It is not worth spending over $90 ($77 + tip) for two queso’s, two entrees, one dessert, two margaritas and terrible service.
The two sauce containers for my son to take his queso home was the...
Read moreI definitely prefer lunch time over dinner. The food and service at lunch time was way better than dinner. If I had experienced this restaurant for the first time for the dinner meal, I would not have returned. Lunch time is by far the best, the food was cooked to perfection and the waiter, although new, he brought his A-game. One of the best servers I've EVER had. I had only ever visited at lunch but recently went at dinner and there is a significant difference in the quality of the food between the two shifts. The music and service was also different and just overall didn't work. Also on the dinner visit, another diner saved me by killing the huge roach that was crawling towards me across the floor. I would have literally screamed if I'd seen it. I will only return to this establishment for lunch, but I'm not inclined to visit any time soon after the dinner experience. I also ordered a side of queso sauce and I was told it was 99 cents but it was really $4.99. I was told after the fact, the cost was because it was unlimited servings when I only got one serving,...
Read moreWalking in I observed that the entry way leaks when it rains. Was seated and chip came out nice and warm thinking that this is going to be a good experience. Started to go downhill when the salsa arrived. It tasted like watered down tomato sauce that may have started to turn. Ordered Tacos Mexicanos menu said it comes with a Chile Toreados, which to me really compliments the tacos. My meal arrived without my chile toreados (grilled jalapeno). I mentioned to David my server that my plate was missing my jalapeno. He told me i did not order one. I stated that the menu reads that one is included with the meal. He finally brought one to me. The beef in the tacos did have decent flavor. I am a big fan of charro beans so when I tried mine I was disappointed, as I tasted a heavy note of clove. very disappointing. Upon receiving my check I noticed that Davis had charged me for an item that was to be included with the meal. Did not dispute the amount. To me it was not worth it and was not surprising given the experience. Disappointed with my visit and would...
