I personally really enjoy Fat Boy's Pizza, but this was my first time visiting the Covington location... It will also be my last. The moment we walked in, I had a feeling it wouldn't be pleasant. The workers seemed scattered and disorganized, and the place wasn't the cleanest. I've definitely seen worse, but it was still enough to give me a negative vibe. However, my 3 year old and wife just had to have Fat Boy's Pizza. The end result was as follows... We were ignored for about 10 minutes before we were actually acknowledged by a worker to order for starters. The pizza they ended up serving us was in the display case, and it appeared to have been there for quite some time before they decided they would just grab from that anyway and just reheat it. I wish we would've tried it before leaving, but we wound up waiting almost an entire hour for our food with a toddler who got very cranky during that wait time. So, we were ready to go straight back home by the time we were given our order. (Our mistake on that one) My wife also ordered some Sweet Tai Chilli Buffalo wings and a salad. I will always give credit where credit is due, so I'll acknowledge that the salad was decent, but that's the best I can do. As for the wings, it seemed as though the workers forgot about her order, which is probably what took so long for us to receive it. Also, I'm unsure if they "accidentally" gave us the wrong order or if the wings just tasted badly, but it tasted like they gave is honey garlic instead of what we ordered. Now, back to the pizza... When we went to eat our pizza, it was entirely too rough for us to eat, especially my toddler. We had to deal with him crying about it the rest of the night. We as customers are paying ENTIRELY TOO MUCH MONEY at pretty much ALL establishments these days. They say we're paying for convenience, but that's the furthest from the truth these days. Honestly, I wish I could start a movement over this particular matter and more, BUT I don't really know anyone to back me. Lol Personally, I'm about to just go back to how it should be anyway and start going to the grocery once a week and begin making my own meals. THAT is what is most convenient these days, AND IT'S SO MUCH CHEAPER FOR MUCH BETTER FOOD! However, I do have a spoiled toddler, so I'm sure I'll still be visiting fast food establishments SOMETIMES, but I'm going back to cooking 95% of the time thanks to this place and SO MANY others like it or worse. Good luck to...
Read moreWe went yesterday March 28th after 2:00 p.m. . The place wasn't that crowded but did begin to get crowded as we were in line placing our order. It's true one large slice of pizza for $10 or to be accurate 899 plus tax per slice. The slices don't have a lot of toppings on them but the pizza was really tasty. My son ordered the pepperoni slice which had four or five pepperonis on it and I ordered the supreme which had ample toppings for me. When the slices arrived at the table the pepperoni slice for my son was much bigger than my supreme slice but at least a third. My slice was long and skinny and his was really wide. I have a 10 year old boy and he gobbled that slice down and was still a little hungry he said. I ate mines and also was hungry afterwards. The crust is super thin like barely existent so there is nothing to fill you up. Therefore my reading is that every blue moon it would be a luxury treat to have a slice of $10 pizza that unless you ate before will not fill you up. I came home and drank a lot of water and had a dessert but I had to eat some chicken salad before bed because I was really hungry. Personally I think it's really ridiculous to serve a slice of pizza for $10 because Louisiana we have high tax so and 899 slice of pizza is $10. No side items people. No fries no beverage you must pay for those extra. Not worth the value but I'd recommend to at least try it one time. The patio is very nice spacious and open air with big screen TVs and you can walk right indoors to a large glass garage door which is cool. I noticed they also serve frozen daiquiris there as well so probably a nice place to go on a date or hang out with friends to have cocktails and a bite of pizza just two fill your stomach before driving home after a night...
Read moreYikes. So I went with my girlfriend a few months ago, and this was our experience.
We ordered two slices of pizza and some wings. The pizza came out first, we though it was weird they didn’t bring the wings with it but we just went right to eating the giant slice of pizza (which was very good and filling) after we finished the pizza I alerted the waitress that we haven’t received our wings. She told us she never put the wings in, so we said no worries we can wait, after another few mins we asked the waitress again for an update, she immediately said “I will get the manager” the manager then came up and gave a few excuses of why the wings still aren’t ready, one was “we had a big order of wings and yalls order got lost” understandable, things happen so I then said well don’t worry about it we will take a refund for the wings. He immediately changed the story and said “we just have to wait for the fryer to cool down” I again said, don’t worry about it we have been waiting awhile, we will take the refund, then his story changed again to “well we actually have your order but it’s the wrong flavor” I replied, “then that’s not my order, like I said we are okay we would like the refund”
He then told me he cannot do a refund even though we never received the product we paid for. We then talk to someone else (no idea what title he was) but he said the refund would be put back into the card in 3-5 days (they never asked for the card). We never received the refund, and I believe they just said that to get us out.
with this type of managing no wonder this establishment is loosing business. This post isn’t to “bash” a man working at his job but for the employees to understand, actions like this causes customers to have a reason to...
