Griffin Grill — Restaurant in Louisiana

First time i got a shrimp poboy which came on what i would call an oversized hot dog bun and bun was mildly fresh, dressings were moderate and shrimp was good so overall ok (2star food) and unlikely to purchase again. 2nd time there got a cheeseburger whose bun was fresh, dressings were well portioned/flavorful, patty was good size and good tasting overall good burger (4star food). I will keep sampling their food over time as i work in the area. Service was fast but not fast food fast (i prefer as it is IMHO an indicator of food quality/freshness) and friendly. The ‘atmosphere’ is simple, which is what it should be IMHO as dumping money into posh this or that isn’t going to make the target audience care much, what is far more important is cleanliness and good condition. The people are nice but the burgers are DRY. I’ve eaten here a half dozen times because my friends rave about the burgers. I can no longer trust food recommendations from these friends and question if they have ever had a juicy burger. I met the definition of insanity coming here 6 times expecting a different result. I’m disappointed because I like to support local businesses but this one let me down.

There is some weird infatuation with this place, since some of the pictures literally show dry burger meat yet the person who posted the picture gave a glowing 5 star review about the burger.

WAY overpriced for the quality of food. We’ve eaten here 5+ times and the service and food are inconsistent. Once I was put on hold for 20 minutes while I listened to the girl at the counter carry on a personal conversation with someone in the store. Called back from another line while on the phone and no one answered (despite me being able to hear it ringing.) When I brought it to her attention when she finally picked up, she played it off as being someone else who answered. There’s too many options around to deal with things like this when you’re trying to patronize someone’s establishment. Best of luck...
