I can not believe the audacity of the wannabe manager in this place. We get off the school bus and go into this Popeyes. First there are what appear to be bullet holes in the window and walls. ... turns out there was a shooting here days ago. If I owned a fast food place I would get the bullet holes fixed before opening the lobby. It's no wonder with a manager like this. The store was filthy. The poor cooks were rushing like crazy. The kid up front was having to manage the front counter by himself. He was very polite, he was upfront apologized for the way the lobby looked and our food would take at least 10 - 15 minutes. No suprise there. It was around 3ish in the afternoon. Fresh chicken is better than old chicken. We appreciated him letting us know. This witch of a manager comes up screaming at this kid to "SHUTUP! IT'S NOT GONNA TAKE THAT LONG! SWITCH!" Making the kid go through drive thru. We started to leave because we still had to get back to school. The manager starts waving us back yelling come back it's not gonna take that long. Come on back I'll make your orders." She should have kept to herself and let the kid handle the counter. It took her over 30 minutes to fill our orders. She yells at this poor kid "SEE IT DIDNT TAKE THAT LONG!" He looked down at his watch and said "It took thirty minutes." He looked so tired and defeated. She told him it didn't take her even 15 minutes to fill our order. We as customers stepped in and told her it was thirty minutes. The kid was doing his job as he should. Being honest with us upfront. She gave this rude hate-filled look and stormed off. Not apologizing to her staff or customers. The workers all looked miserable. Picture people being held hostage, in prison orange. If I was treated bybanyone they way she treated those workers, BYE FELICIA, She can do it all by her rude demoralizing self. We all wished we could have done something. There is not a sign to contact the regional manager or owner. This will have to do. We hope they see it. To the workers you were working hard and as fast as you could. There are other places to work. You don't have to work for someone like that or at a place with bullet holes everywhere. Better yet, hopefully upper management see this and the wicked manager from the west has to find a new job. How long do you put up with being treated like trash. Read moreHORRIBLE service.. I'm actually writing this while "pulling up & waiting" as is always the case.. I stopped only because it was on the way home from working a 16hr shift & wanted a fish sandwich (limited time item).. The ONLY good thing about my experience was that I had so many rewards pts that my meal was $0.00.. I placed a mobile order, pulled up to the ordering station, informed the attendant that I was picking up a mobile order to where she requested that I pull around to the window.. Once at the window I hear THE MANAGER arguing loudly w/a worker about doing something because they were working until 10:30pm anyway.. The attendent proceeds to tell me that they have to "drop the fish" (granted this is during lent, at 6pm, considered rush hr w/individuals getting off from work & on a Friday..shouldn't there already be fish "dropped" at this hr, but anyway) & could I pull up & wait for my order.. As mentioned I placed a mobile order, so it was already paid for, so I politely asked "do you think I can get a sweet tea as a courtesy for waiting".. The attendent said "I don't know let me check", she asks the manager who I can see & hear from the window "he's asking if he can get a sweet tea for waiting", the manager says "no he can't get a sweet tea, I don't have anything to do with him having to wait".. OMG.. I honestly can't believe I had time to even type all of this while STILL waiting.. HORRIBLE service, as stated.. Had it not been a mobile order & the fact that I don't want to go through the hassle of having my points reimbursed I would be cancelling this order because now my concern is will it be both accurate & enjoyable!! Read moreI'm not sure how this particular Popeyes has gotten their ratings up, but I can only assume it is because people are rating the wrong address. Unfortunately, we frequent this one often because we live right around the corner from it. They have the same MO, they are garbage for an extended period of time, then they send a few people temporarily to provide better service, those people leave and it goes right back to being garbage. Opening our food to find somebody's hair in it is just disgusting and the proverbial last straw. I suppose now is too much to require people to cover their heads when working with food like we used to do in the past. I guess that just makes too much sense for these days.
