Worst Mexican restaurant I’ve been to… first of all, my husband and I ordered the steak and chicken fajitas for two. We received fajitas for one (see image) and was told the kitchen made a mistake and that they were fixing it. The fajitas in the picture were cold. It came and it was not sizzling and as you can see, would only feed a half person. When they brought out “our food” they brought the exact same thing, again, didn’t sizzle (it was cold like it had been sitting out) and had even less meat on it than the one in the picture. My husband and I couldn’t believe they wanted 45 bucks for what we were getting (which was not even what we ordered) and it was cold. I told the server I wasn’t going to eat a cold meal and that it was missing some meat and she took it away and asked what else we wanted to order instead. Not only were they skimping on the fajita meat, they charged us for cold tortillas that we didn’t eat and a “fajita set up” that she offered to leave for us to eat while we waited for food… I assumed it was complimentary but we were charged 7 bucks for it and 7 bucks for disgusting, cold tortillas. Coming from a Hispanic family please hear me when I say, save your money and just cook at home. It probably would taste better and be hotter than the food here. Oh and lastly - our server I guess got tired of serving us so she sent someone to collect the bill and her tip… needless to say she didn’t get much tip from us and we will not go back and spend our hard earned money there again. The owner needs to reach out to me personally. I would love to have a conversation with him/her about our terrible experience.
Sincerely an Unsatisfied...
Read moreMy sister decided to pick up dinner for her family tonight and was grossly disappointed at the quality of Mi Padres' food and the treatment she endured over the phone by one of Mi Padres employees. The Nachos were soggy, the Kids meal was supposed to come with rice & beans however it was packaged with fries instead. The fish tacos were supposed to come with rice and beans w/Baja sauce. There were only tacos, no sauce, no rice and no beans. She decided to call and the Mi Padres, the manager who answered the phone said they we are out of rice. She mentioned to the manager no one informed her when she made the initial order they were out of rice. The manager says, I just said it at the beginning of the call. She let the manager know that's pointless now! The manager mentioned her bringing the nachos back and they would remake them. However driving 10 min there and 10 minutes back was not feasible as she had a hungry 6 year old at home. Then in a rude way, the manager says well what would you like me to do! Poor customer service best describes her trip to MI Padres. And it was $15 for 3 tacos! Mi Padres wants customers to patronize their organization but with terrible food and service why would anyone? If your customer service is going to be mediocre why...
Read moreThe server approached us with no mask on, and was rude when I asked her where her mask was. My order was incorrect (and there wasn’t an opportunity for it to be corrected) there were no chips, salsa or bean dip. I asked to speak to the manager and was told “she’s not here” and when I asked how a restaurant runs without managers present, I was then told “she’s on break”. Drinks weren’t refilled when they were empty, despite us asking for refills. Another server came to the table and asked how she could help us. I asked her if she was the manager “no but I can help you” so I said I would like to speak to the manager. I told this server that the previous one said that the manager wasn’t present and asked her if that was the same thing she was about to say; she confirmed. I asked the same question - how does a restaurant run with no manager present. “Are you about to tell me the same lie about her being on break?” The server said yes, she’s on break. I do not enjoy...
