Smoothie King — Restaurant in Louisiana

I could go on and on about my experience at this store. To start, I arrived and sat inside, waiting for about ten minutes. During that time, no one acknowledged me, and the staff looked like they were having a terrible day, which made me feel really uncomfortable. When I finally got the chance to place my order, their response was a loud "Ughhhh," which I found incredibly rude and off-putting.

After that, I received my smoothie three times. The first time, it was literally just juice—definitely not what I expected. The second attempt was overly icy, making it difficult to enjoy. By the time I got the third version, I was really hoping it would be right. However, when I took a sip, I was met with a taste that was honestly awful. It felt like they had added something I wouldn’t enjoy, like fiber powder or some sort of super grain. It was so unpalatable that I ended up just throwing it away.

Feeling frustrated, I decided to leave without saying much. To make matters worse, as I was walking out, I noticed some of the staff laughing, which felt really disrespectful given my experience. I even asked for their names, but they refused to respond. Overall, this experience was incredibly disappointing, and I would never recommend this store to anyone. I came to this location on Airline Hwy in Prairieville with my nine year old daughter and no one was visible behind the counter so I called out a few times and after three minutes or so, a young woman walks out of the back office followed by a young man. It was obvious to me by their disheveled appearance that they were doing something very inappropriate in that back office. I was very shocked because this is a place of business. After placing my order I very politely asked for the manager and was told very rudely by the young woman that the manager wasn’t present and she refused to give me the name of the manager. When I looked at my receipt to see the cashiers name, it’s said “chance’s girlfriend”. Instead of complaining about it I decided just to not go back with my kids. However, after a few months, I stopped in hoping the young couple wouldn’t be behind the counter. The same young woman was there. “Chance’s girlfriend”. I could tell she recognized me when I walked in. She immediately rolled her eyes and then had the chutzpah to talk about me in front of my face to the other cashier. This location is hit or miss and is always more on the miss side. They constantly get orders wrong and the wait time is a bit excessive. Most of the staff is great with the exception of who I believe is the manager. She was always been brief, but at my last visit she was very rude and even rolled her eyes at me over a simple 1 smoothie order. I will not be returning after that encounter.
