We were WOWed by this dining experience. Let me start by saying that the gentleman who waited on us was fantastic and made the experience extra special. He even sang to us in Italian. The dinner was probably the best Italian food Ive had in New Orleans. I ordered a special that was steak tips and a side of the red sauce pasta, so I did not have to give up the red sauce. It was tender and pink in the middle and one of the best things I have eaten. My friend got the veal with peppers and mushrooms also fantastic. (I tasted it to be sure) We also got a fried eggplant medalion with I forget what kind of seafood sauce. We could have licked the plate. It was not crowded. Really nice inside. There is a long bar. Plenty of seating. If you arent eating here, you are missing out. Good date spot, but there were families eating there. For dessert, cannolis with a cinnamon chocolate filling made there, coconut gelato, and a small cheese cake with...
Read moreI wanted to try anew restaurant for my birthday on May 19th. My mom is a 90yr old and my sister decided yo try this restaurant. We arrived at 6:30p and were not greated at our table for 15mins. We got water and hot bread from the waiters assistant who asked if our waiter had come over yet. He seemed puzzle and confused. Our waiter was an elderly individual who came over to our table after 20mins and took our drink order. It was now 7:30p and we didn't have menus. We couldn't order an appetizers either. Our waiter finally came over and decided to practice he's Spanish with us at which time we just asked for our check. This was a very confusing and disappointing experience from a very reputable stablishment. This gentleman obviously needs he's job and should be working with another waiter/busser to assist him. The valet guy was wonderful...
Read moreVery disappointed. My 12 year old was very excited he planned my birthday dinner. He called a week before and made reservations. I searched online for more information on the restaurant, but couldn’t find anything. We showed up on a hot Thursday evening in July to celebrate my birthday with my 84 yr old father. My 2 boys were dressed in khaki shorts and collard shirts. The hostess looked at us as if we were dumb. After my son checked in the hostess looked at us up and down and said I mean I guess I can seat you just this once, but you are not dressed appropriately. Wait. I’m not sure they’re gonna even let me seat you now. How embarrassing! We left and will NEVER go back. I get they have rules, but they way we were treated was...
