Just left this restaurant for the first time. Some of our clients from New York kept going on about how good pizza was up there so I started looking for the most authentic New York Pizza in new orleans. Well, I found it. The place is talked off in a strip mall off of esplanade. I accidentally passed it up the first time. Once inside, the place definitely gives an authentic New York Pizza vibe. The gentleman at the register said they have been there for 25 years. He's from a particular area called the bronx. Our clients are from brooklyn, but it's all the same when it comes to pizza. They all talk about the water and how it affects the crust. I can say, without a doubt, this pizza had some of the best crust of any I've tried before and I've eaten Pizza at well over 100 different restaurants. I decided to get a modified Supreme today. Roasted garlic instead of green peppers. They have sizes ranging from mini to large. A small was more than enough to fill me up and have a few slices to take home. Pizza did not take long to cook. Absolutely delicious from the first bite. It really did feel like you were talked away from New Orleans while you were in there. Terrific owner. Very informative. Delicious pizza. No complaints whatsoever. Highly recommend. I'll...
Read moreI am just getting around to rating this restaurant. Usually when I come here the service is great and food. This particular time, on May 16, I brought my son and his cousins here to make their own pizza. Apparently we got there a hour before closing so once the kids finished poking holes and making their pizza we gave it to the front worker and he said they would be closing soon and we have to eat and be out by the time it closed. I was really confused and instead of a back and forth exchange with my kid and his cousins watching I just did as I was told. However, this is not right at all. If you close at a certain time that is the time you stop taking new customers if I am already in the restaurant you shouldn’t rush me with eating. I wasn’t going to be there for three hours eating it would have been nice if he could have been patient. Please work on your customer service skills whomever is the young guy who was cleaning up and working in the...
Read moreThis restaurant doesn't stick out from the street and I passed right by it. And I was looking for it. But it has been there over 25 years. Well it is a little small when you walk in but the service was really good. The owner was very nice. I ordered a whole muffaletta and when it was delivered to my table. I looked at it and said to my brother that was with me that looks different. Because they make their own bread and olive salad. Well I took a bite and said that it is really good. The bread was not really thick how so muffalettas are and it is hard to taste everything in it. But this was much better. With every bite you take you were able to taste the meat and cheese and the olive salad. The bread was krispy but not hard like some muffalettas are. We really enjoyed it. And I will definitely go back. It was well worth the trip from the westbank. I Googled it and we wanted to try it. And yes we were not...
