Empty Nest Cafe And Bar — Restaurant in Louisiana

Gave one star because the waiter was friendly, BUT I ordered the big breakfast it wasn't good at all hashbrowns were so burnt I couldn't eat them. Also Cook doesn't wear mask or gloves, not good especially with Covid going around. Some of the guest were starring at me as if I was the wrong skin color to be in there I, wanted to dine in but got 2 go instead I've never felt so uncomfortable in my life. 1/2/22

Saw good reviews so tried it out. Definitely seems like a club or something as the two tables in the back were all older people just drinking coffee and chatting. Anyways, we were sat promptly and given menus and our drink order was taken, but it was about 10 minutes after that when our server returned with drinks and took our order, a little long but no biggie. We placed our order then waited, and waited, and waited. It took 45 minutes for an egg biscuit and a sausage and gravy plate! 45 minutes! I was starving so, whatever, the reviews were good right? This is just your run of the mill family owned hole-in-the-wall spot. The food was ok, nothing about it stood out either good or bad. The employees seemed more concerned with talking amongst themselves than actually seeing the customers... then there was the cleanliness... everything was sticky, the bathrooms are disgusting, they even have a sign up asking the customer to clean the toilet seats...
