We visited the Wendy's off Highland Rd. in Baton Rouge. I, & my party felt judged, under valued, and unwanted at this specific fast food location today! The young man,Markell who took our order seemed distracted, and unfocused while taking our order. He literally kept looking away seemingly every 2 seconds. The restaurant hap open dine in,but most of the tables looked sticky, and had an unappealing almost greasy residue on them including the one we sat at. We got our drinks, and one of the salads right after we ordered, with 3 napkins. Then, we had to wait 10-15 minutes for the rest of our order. We had to go up to the counter, and remind them that we were waiting on the rest of our order. It turned out it had been sitting on their side of the counter & they didn't know who it belonged to. Markell told one of his black female managers that he thought he gave us all of our order. Then we had to go back up to the counter for more napkins, the bbq for my son's chicken nuggets, and ketchup. Each time when went back to the counter the black female manager kept giving us dirty, go to hell looks, and seemed to be agitated with us. We needed ketchup for the very oversalted french fries! We also ordered a junior bacon cheeseburger that we didn't get with the rest of our order. Then to make things worse, a black man came in and ordered his food after we did, and was greeted with smiles, and prompt service! He also got a thank you from the black female manager, and was told to come again. The man also got his ENTIRE order before we received all of ours! She sure made us feel like our white lives, & hard earned money didn't matter today! I can promise you I will not be returning to this location, and will think twice before I choose to return to another Wendy's! Oh, and lest I forget the chicken on my salad wasn't cut well enough, and the tomatoes we're literally moosh! The blue Powerade my husband wanted to drink was watered down,so they gave him Sprite instead. The temperature of the food was right, and the strawberry lemonade was very refreshing, so kudos on that. However, I do believe that ALL LIVES MATTER, & if I choose to spend my hard earned money at your place of business then you should be grateful, because I value the money that my patrons spend at my place...
Read moreOrdered $9 worth of food that wasnât worth my dog eating! It takes 3 mins to cook fries! What took 15 mins? Once I ordered my food and pulled up I requested fresh fries. I donât mind waiting on fresh food. Pulled up waited over 3 minutes to only get one of my orders. After I stated I had 2 orders the lady went back inside to retrieve my other order. Another 3 mins pass, I see cars coming out of drive thru, but Iâm still waiting. I get out of my car and walk to the window. Tell the lady yâall probably forgot about me. She stated, âNo, I havenât forgotten your order is right her bagged. What does my order being bagged and me not having it do for me. So at that point I request another basket of fries be dropped. Walked back to my car. At this point Iâm frustrated. So I pull through drive the again to wait on my additional order that I never got and fresher fries since I had to wait longer. Now at this time the lady proceeds to tell me that Iâm being difficult. We go back and forth about how long it takes fries to cook. If my food was bagged why not bring it to me instead of keep serving other customers allowing my food to get cold. Finally, I get fresh fries. Go home, pure disappointment yes the fries are fresh but there hard like a brick and burnt. Meat patty on my burger was ice cold. Chicken sandwich was cold. I put everything back in the bag & head back to Wendyâs. Get there ask for a refund and Iâm told I canât get one. They canât do refunds. I have to wait and talk to the General Manager in the a.m . What type of operation are you guys running n to not be able to give a customer a refund? I will be back in the morning for my refund. I wonât be back to spend with that location...
Read moreThis was our first visit to this Wendy's in over 10 years. We stopped going because the service and food were both horrid. I'm happy to say that the service on this last visit was fantastic. The people were great, they got our orders out quickly and the orders were correct. The downside is the food.
Wendy's used to have the best fast food burgers by far, but the beef patties on our burgers were clearly made with a lower quality of ground beef than Dave used to insist on.
Gone are the tender, juicy, flavorful patties that made the franchise. Now, they're dry and a bit tough with the same low quality as McDonald's roadkill-quality beef.
The chili, once a tasty, meaty side or meal, was nearly devoid of beef. 8t was chili sauce and beans with just enough meat to claim it has meat in it, and yet it costs more than ever.
the last thing any business should do is lower the quality of their products, especially chains. Customers visit for an expected taste/quality of their food. Wendy's, like all fast food chains, has forgotten about quality in favor of profits.
They won't be profiting from us any more.
Its no wonder that we, like everybody else, are eschewing fast food for fast casual and eating at home. The fast food franchises have raised prices through the roof while the quality of their food has dropped below...
