Nowhere near the quality or freshness of Raising Canes. I ordered through their app and when I got to the store my order was bagged up tightly and had been sitting out. When I do the same for Raising Canes, my order isn't prepared until I arrive to pick it up. Everything at Cane's is cooked to order whereas Zaxby's appears to love prepping food ahead of time so it's cold, old, soggy, and disappointing.
When I got it home everything was barely warm. The fries were dry and kind of powdery on the inside like they had been sitting out all day or had been in the refrigerator. They were soggy, dry, and flavorless. The chicken fingers were tiny, one was half a chicken tender barely as long as my thumb, and they were also cold and soggy. The toast was dry, not really even toasted, and about as flavorful as drywall. I didn't get the coleslaw, but my wife did and she said she'd never eat it again.
When I got to the store, the employees didn't acknowledge me. There were only 2 other people in the store, which is a lot of people judging by their almost always empty parking lot, and yet the employees somehow didn't see me or just didn't bother. So, I walked up and interrupted one of them who was calling for an order to be picked up to let them know I was there to pick up my already ordered and paid for food that was sitting out getting cold. It still took them another couple of minutes to confirm that was my order as if there were anyone else ordering by that time.
Nobody around here eats at Zaxby's and I can see why. We tried them when they first opened years ago and had the same experience. Nothing's changed and I can't wait to see what replaces Zaxby's when it finally closes its...
Read moreWe stopped here on our way back home, and I wanted to try Zaxbys. The lobby was closed, and we had to go through the drive thru. For drinks. we ordered a Coke and Dr. Pepper, and when I got to the window, I asked the young girl with a puff who handed us our drinks, "Which one is the Coke and Dr. Pepper?" She said, "I don't know!" She responded as if I had asked the dumbest question ever. It was so bizarre, my friend and I started laughing because why all the attitude? If she had pushed that button down on the drink top, we wouldn't have had to ask. My friend smelled the drinks, and they had given us both Cokes. Incorrect. We were like, fine. We both drink Coke. She closed the window and my friend checked the food to make sure it was correct and she opened the window and asked us," Do you need anything else?" Real nasty like we pissed her off by checking the order. No one else was there it was barely 11 am! Miss Mamas wanted us gone 🤣 To top it off, the food was mediocre. The toast was hard. The chicken wasn't hot. Cane's would never. Not everyone is made to work in food service. 🙃 My friend and I laughed as we ate our sad food because there was no reason for all that fever 😂. I rarely write reviews, but this was too funny and weird. They say when the workers have an attitude, the food is good. Not...
Read moreZaxby’s employees must take a portion of their daily store earnings home with them at the end of every shift. Why would I say that? Oh, because today I did 2 separate online orders for pick up. First, they weren’t ready after placing it 15 minutes prior which is confusing to me because what else are you all doing in there besides frying chicken. And then after receiving my cold order that took so long to make, I realized they’d forgotten to put my fries in the bag. When I informed the employee, she argued with me that they were in there. I politely gave her the bag so she could see for herself. She checked the bag and still argued that surely they were there. I told her I had never left the store, so I don’t know where they could’ve run off to. She hesitantly gave me another fry as if I had stolen the other ones and wanted to get over on them. The customer service was terrible. I thought surely the fries were an item directly reflecting her paycheck. I guess theres no such thing as satisfying your customers! Go to CANES guys, because Zaxby’s...
