Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Louisville

I'll start off by saying the people were very nice. Everyone we interacted with was kind. That's about all the positives I can give, though. The primary issue was the food. For a place right down the street from an established Qdoba, you'd think they'd be really pushing to compete. Instead, the portions were comparatively small, the options much fewer (some, like Guac and Queso, are even extra, unlike at Qdoba), and the food wasn't very tasty. Both burrito bowls we got had hard, undercooked rice grains mixed in, the steak also had significant amounts of gristle, and both the chicken and steak were bland. I could never recommend this place over Qdoba, especially when it's just 2 minutes down the road.

The restaurant is pretty small and feels a little cramped and awkward inside with the only entry doors being on the opposite side of where you would start ordering, making you walk past the exit doors to get your order placed, then putting you back by the entry after you're done instead of the exit. Maybe it felt more cramped because of all the employees that were around. There had to have been about 6 that were just standing around when we walked in. Also the door didn't seem to open well. Maybe one side was just kept locked but the side that we opened was heavy and clunked as you pulled it. For a place that's new that's probably not a good sign.

It's certainly possible this is just growing pains for a new establishment. I was hoping that maybe they'd be getting off to a strong start, but that definitely wasn't the case.

Overall, disappointing. Maybe wait for more reviews down the line in case things improve but, for now, save your time and money. There's a reason it only has a 3.8 as of the time of this review, which is pretty bad as far as Google reviews go. Take that as a warning like I should have before I let my curiosity get the...

You know me I tell it as it is. food quality -fair.I had the steak. Tough and dryed out. Food is AMAZING!!!! love it glad they finally put one over here, but the portions of the food is absurd! No way I should be getting a spoon full of rice and beans and 5 pieces of chicken!! Some of the employees especially the guy with the curly red hair doesn’t like to give out cheese or lettuce.. I had to ask multiple time for a decent amount of cheese and lettuce.
