Double Dragon II — Restaurant in Louisville

This was my first time trying Double Dragon II’s food and I will NEVER eat it again…. We ordered the Mongolian Beef, Shrimp Egg Foo Young, General Tso Chicken, Crab Rangoon and Wonton Soup…. The only thing good was the soup. I am comparing this meal to another local Chinese restaurant, China Cafe, which is by far the best in the area….. China Cafe never disappoints, the only reason I ordered from Double Dragon was because China Cafe is closed on Mondays, but back to Double Dragon…. We ordered Doordash delivery which was excellent, quick delivery and food was hot, besides that and the soup, everything else sucked…. The crab Rangoon appetizer tasted like paper or old….. I think it’s premade by a supplier and comes in frozen…. It was in my opinion inedible and went to the trash, General Tso chicken was bland, no seasoning or spices on the chicken, chicken was not crispy or crunchy like it should be, and normally you should get a couple of pieces of steamed broccoli, well no broccoli, the Shrimp egg foo young had no brown gravy on it, the brown gravy is something that always comes on egg foo young, instead they sent a container of a dark brown syrup, which I think is the “base” which the brown gravy is made from ….. it surprised me in a very unpleasant way….. the Mongolian Beef looked really good, plenty of veggies and beef, however the beef texture was gelatinous and the whole dish so under seasoned, very bland and very disappointing. On top of all this there wasn’t any sauce or soy sauce packets nor any fortune cookies…. $66.00 was spent for this extremely disappointing meal….. this left such a “bad taste” in my mouth and wallet, that I will never recommend nor patronize this establishment again…., if the restaurant wasn’t closed, (I ordered near closing time), I would have taken the food back. China Cafe is the only Chinese restaurant that I will patronize or recommend for this east...

My kids stopped here for carryout. They brought some home to me. I had general's chicken and crab rangoons (came to, approximately$15). The chicken dish smelled like mildew. It had a weird taste too...faint, but there. My youngest daughter said she saw a guy in the kitchen with a huge bucket, and a strainer, pulling chicken up out of the water it had been soaking in, in the bucket. Might explain the mildewy smell coming from my chicken dish. I didn't feel it was safe to eat, so our money was wasted. We threw it away. The crab rangoons were overcooked and gross but I ate them, anyway, as that ended up being my dinner and I was hungry. Very...

This place use to be decent. Seems even before pandemic it was sliding. I dont know what is going on with this place? There needs to be a serious revamp. We normally order from another chinese place that is further than here because that is how much it has gone down hill in my opinion. Now they got rid of delivery, when they didnt have it long. Online ordering is a joke. Some of the items that were new to their menu we put in our order, this was awhile back ended up not being available. I think they never had the items to begin with. Didnt call us to let us know to replace and ended up with half our food. This place needs to...
