So I went to this El Nopal location and I have never had such a bad experience. It started out good until I sat down. They didn’t give us chips or salsa, we got our queso before we got our drink and chips, which got cold by the time we got our chips, the waiter came over only one time and that was after we got our food. We also put in a to-go order for my sister before we finished our food. When we got done we sat there for ten minutes waiting on the waiter to come over so we could get a box. So my girlfriend went to go get one. While she was up at the front desk, the waiter was standing five tables down from us leaning on a booth, then he started to clean the windows. He was more worried about getting out on time than he was worried about taking care of his customers. The reason why I didn’t get up and walk over to him is because I had my child with me and wasn’t going to leave her there at the table by herself. My sister’s food came before I could ask for a box he, a different person, ran off. So after setting there a little longer, finally the waiter came over to give us the bill for my sisters food. Before he could run off, I quickly asked for a box. A few more minutes passed and I finally got my box. I was mad at this point so I handed my girlfriend the card to pay for our meal and walked outside. My girlfriend came out to the car and told me to look at my account. So I did and she charged me twice. My girlfriend also told me that the lady in front of her got charged 4 times. And all this girl could tell my girlfriend and the lady in front of her is that “it won’t work”. Why would u keep swiping the card??? So when I went back in all they could said is we are canceling them now. Like it was no big deal or anything. So I don’t recommend anyone going to this el nopal location. But the El Nopal out on Outer Loop is way better. But never go to this one!!! If I could I would rate this with a...
Read moreWent to this location tonight and the server was extremely rude. I ordered my food but asked for it to come to the TABLE in a to-go container because I knew I wouldn’t finish it all. He brought out my son’s food. Tortillas for the other people with us, their side of shrimp and nothing else for over 20 mins. The other person with me asked for fresh shrimp and tortillas for her fajitas but came out 20-30 minutes after the the fajita meal. I still hadn’t received my food. The manager came to the table. She was told of everything that was wrong and she offer to comp the drinks which my friend said okay to. She comes back with my food that had been sitting up at the front 😒. She also brings the bill and the drinks were still on there. So then she said she wouldn’t comp them. Now another manager was involved. I tried calmly explaining the situation to him because my friend was extremely frustrated. He cut me off and told me he wanted to talk to her. During this time my 6 year old spills his drink. I immediately start cleaning it up and as the manager is walking I let him know of the accident and that a wet floor sign was needed. He told me that wasn’t important right now. So i got up from the table to go pay MY bill. As I’m paying he walks by giving me a dirty look and my friend says he made a smart remark about the spill I WARNED HIM ABOUT. So i asked was there a problem. I let him know he was very unprofessional in how he dealt with me when I remained calm and tried to de-escalate the situation. He let me know he felt it was my responsibility to handle the mess from the spill and that he feels he wasn’t rude but people around listened and agreed with me. I eat there at least once a week but I won’t...
Read moreI work in the food business, I know you can have a rough day and come off as rude when you’re not trying to be. But I would never in a million years treat someone how I was treated tonight. I ordered what I always get enchilada with queso instead of red sauce. It came out and there was red sauce and no queso. I told the server who brought it to me that there was a mistake and he was very kind, however when my server came to the table to check if everything came out okay i explained what had happened just to inform him that my food was being remade. And he proceeded to yell at me. I was not being rude, I did not raise my voice when explaining to him that I ordered the queso but he yelled at me telling me I never told him about the queso and accused me of trying to get free queso (when that was not at all what I was trying to do). I felt as though it was very unprofessional especially because I was not mad at all that my order had been messed up. I simply told him and he raised his voice at me instead of saying “sorry I must not have heard you” and moving on. There are much better ways to handle situations like this. I lost my appetite after the confrontation. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at...
