Food was way too expensive for the quality we received it in, for reference I spent 45+ Dollars on two burgers, an appetizer, and coffee only to have to a wait time of an hour and a half in an empty restaurant, quite literally having to wait 20 minutes before me and my accomplice could even order a coffee. Food was nothing to write home about despite paying 13 dollars for something I can nake for a little kid's piggy bank worth of cash. The coffee tasted horrific despite using their creamers and sugars just to have it taste like sewage and sour cream. If the McDonald's across the street does coffee better for damn near ⅕ of the price I don't think you should charge 2.55 for a little cup of brown jungle juice. As much as they make you pay you're better off either making the food yourself or just going to Bob Evans, they'll treat you better, serve you faster and give actually decent coffee for a...
Read moreI've put off going here having not been impressed with other Grinders locations in the past and more about supporting small businesses than any chain in general. Let me say I've been cheating myself by discounting this place. The interior is a welcome surprise with a 20's look, lots of booths dark stained woodwork, glass details, high ceilings and large matching light fixtures. Certainly not what I expected at all...
Between us we tried the Spudniks, Aviator, Meatball sub and baked macoroni-cheese. We stopped in towards end of the day so we got desert to go consisting of lemon cream pie and a large chocolate peanut butter brownie. All that and an Ice T was only $32.95! I double checked the bill just to make certain everything was on there and it was.
Service was excellent and the food was one of best meals I've had...
Read moreI've been eating here for years, since it was LA Grinders over on 44. If you aren't local, this is a small chain, with maybe 6 or so restaurants in the area. Food at all of them is consistently good. I especially like the veggie burger, eastern grinder, french onion soup, and THE PIE!
Menu items are fairly priced, especially for what you get. Just last night was there and we split a large club & order of chips, each had a bowl of french onion, and 1 beer. Total with our tip was around $30, and we took food home with us.
They sell beer here, but pretty small selection and nothing on draft. I don't personally drink beer, so I wish they would sell liquor but that is probably more an issue with the liquor licenses...
