Our experience was really good tonight at Roosters on Bardstown road. They were a bit busy secondary to Kentucky playing Texas Tech. The wait was about 20 minutes which was reasonable especially for how crowded they were. Our waitress was really good(Melissa) friendly, prompt, personable. The food was really good (kudos to the cook staff and wait staff). My bride had a veggie burger which is pretty good and at least does not fall apart like at almost every other restaurant in town with a purported veggie (quinoa) burger. I ordered Big boy burger with cheddar and "the works" and chicken wings which I must say we're huge. Food was all cooked as asked and tasted really good. Soda was cool and tasted good and my brides beer was cool and refreshing. The basketball game was really good and exciting and went into overtime which made the meal experience that much better. We recommend Roosters on Bardstown road for a good, fun, American cuisine dining experience and on game day as well , the bar is large and accommodating. They have several back/private rooms that can be used for meetings and parties. Parking lot adjoins a strip mall so plenty of parking. They have so many televisions it's a bit overwhelming at the same time if you want to watch games this is a...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered online and my friend went to pick up our food. Once my friend returned, he realized he was missing his cheesesticks. And let me tell you, I'm just as surprised as you are that he didn't check the bag. Anyway, since I placed the order, I requested a refund over the phone and got hung up on. Not just once! But three times in a row, my friend and I were hung up on. My friend ended up driving back to the restaurant to pick them up.
I won't be a customer of any Rooster's restaurants any longer. Their staff showed me that human decency and customer service isn't very important to them. What a shame because the food was really tasty. Plus, I could of went Super Saiyan-Karen on them and yelled for their manager. Too bad it wasn't worth it. Too bad it's just food. Instead, I asked my friend to return to the restaurant. Probably because both human decency and the golden rule are very important to me.
Update: When my friend picked up the cheesesticks, they gave him $10 off coupon so we're satisfied enough for a 3 star rating. If they apologized for the phone call hang-ups, we would of given them 5 stars.
Update 2: I tried calling to speak to the manager the day I received a response and the phone was off the...
Read moreMy buddies and I frequent this location multiple times per week. We usually have a decent experience for the most part but last night was just unacceptable. There were maybe 20 people in the restaurant when we arrived and our waitress finally showed up after 5-10 mins of waiting. She acted very high strung and took 10 minutes (no kidding) just to get our order written down and to finish trying to upsell everything she could to us. She kept mentioning that she has been written up over 10 times in the past for screwing up...weird thing to say. We waited almost an hour before the kitchen manager finally brought out the 2 apps we ordered. He was apologetic and said he would remove the charge from our bill. About 10 mins later we received our food. Not one time did we see the waitress again until it was time for the check. She went MIA with another tale close by from the conversation we could clearly hear. We were charged for all of our condiments, sauce and cheese on our burger which we never have been in the past. She acted like she had no idea why the apps were credited on the bill. I just want to make the establishment aware of this employee so others don't have this same experience. We are a bit reluctant to come back for a...
