One of Lowell's true treasures, if you're a fan of baked beans, these set the standard that all others are measured by and the beans pair great with the delicious pork pies. The flavors in Cote's beans remind me of Lowell’s vibrant mill heritage and they make me reminisce warm memories of times as a child I spent in Lowell with my family and friends. My dad has been gone for a time now; he grew up in Lowell on Mammoth Road, became a productive part of the community and ran a very successful business in the area. He shared his heritage of growing up during the times when the mills were the bloodline of the community. Sitting here enjoying the beans brings me back to the age when I was in grade school and my father would take me to Rochette's Diner, where they served Cote's Beans and it was weird as a kid that I loved the beans even more than the great french-fries they served. Or eating at one of the many dinners that served their beans after a night at the Golden Gloves when I was in my teens. Before I wrote this review I spent a few minutes looking up the history of Cote's, I can remember it as far back as I can remember; so I wasn't surprised to find out Cote's was started back in 1902 and that for 105 years four generations a hardworking family has been serving delicious food. They are a cherished part of the community.

Found this awesome shop randomly while walking home, and was amazed at the quality of product, they are a little convenience store, but they also make and sell a wide variety of freshly cooked foods, some served cold and prepackaged for you, some served hot and packaged in the amount you request right there. The pulled pork is my favorite, but the Spanish pork is a close second, the macaroni and cheese is delicious too! They also sell a small assortment of baked goods, muffins, whoopie pies, brownies, and both homemade prepackaged, and freshly baked chocolate chip and chocolate with chocolate chip cookies. I've never liked whoopie pies, but I actually love their's, the creme is beyond delicious. Best of all, the prices are amazing, extremely affordable, you can buy yourself lunch, dinner, and desert for less than $15, and the food is awesome. So much better than wasting your money at some drive-thru! I highly, highly recommend Cote's, also all of the employees are...

This place has been a family tradition on Saturdays in my husband's & my family 4 generations. The beans & pies R always hot, fresh & amazing & the service is always friendly & they always treat you like family. We love this place. It's so sad there are selling. If we could we would buy it in a heartbeat & keep the tradition going for more generation's to come. You will never find a down home family ran store like...
