If you haven’t been to Mt Hope Porch, you’re missing out on something special. The whole place has that cozy backyard charm — string lights, a dartboard on the wall, and an easygoing vibe that makes you want to stay all night.
But what really sets this spot apart is the people. Our server, Nate, was absolutely fantastic — friendly, funny, and on top of everything. He made us feel like regulars from the moment we sat down. The guy could probably handle a packed house with a smile and still remember everyone’s order by heart.
And then there’s Chef Will, the man behind the masterpiece — the bean and ketchup sandwich. I know it sounds wild, but it’s seriously amazing. The beans are rich and hearty, the ketchup adds that perfect kick, and the toasted bread ties it all together in the most comforting way. Chef Will even came out to chat for a bit, and I found out he likes to be called the “GM.” Honestly, he’s earned it — the guy runs the kitchen like a well-oiled machine.
