The Sweet Bar — Restaurant in Lowell

Stopped in the grab some pints to bring along to a BBQ in the area on Labor day- 1st, they were open on the holiday and the two young men working the windows were curtious and competent on the holiday. 2nd, I ordered two pints ($8.50/pint) and they were well packed and stuffed to the brim. 3rd- I love that they were using compostable containers and 4th and most importantly, the flavors were on point.

I got the dairy free pumpkin and dairy free blueberry lavender, and the ice cream was smooth and rich. It didn't look like they used artificial colors to make the ice cream more vibrant, and they tasted like the actual ingredients - the blueberry swirl tasted of actually blueberries and not artificially flavored, and the lavender was subtle and again, natural. I've read a few reviews here about lacking flavor, and I think some people expect things to be loaded with artificial colors and flavors and from my limited experience, they don't do that here- Fantastic!

Everyone at the BBQ, even these who weren't dairy free, loved the product. If you dont need a vegan ice cream but there's a flavor on the vegan board that's what you want, just go for it!

The sweet bar is not only a great place to get unbelievable ice cream and other treats, the owners are great people and really care about making your experience at the sweet bar the best one you ever had at an establishment like this, they have put in outdoor seating cleaned up and painted the place and basically made it an incredible and comfortable place to bring the whole family to relax and enjoy not only the best ice cream and treat's anywhere in the area but the family fun atmosphere is amazing! This is located in the main road. The taste was average, and I did not like the waffle cone since it was very hard. The staff is very friendly. I believe they do accept card, but when I was there I had to pay in cash, may be because I was there past their closing time. It was so sweet of them to serve me ice cream even though I made it past their closing time. I will definitely be there to try other flavors as well.
