Wah sang has its shortcomings but bases on the food and service of Chinese food in Lowell MA this place is the best. I give it five stars because I've tried several Chinese restaurants from centralville downtown and the highlands and this one is my favorite. Prices are on the higher side of average but they're open until 3am, so on those wild nights when you finally realize you should probably eat something wah sang is just a phone call away. Their orange beef is the second best I've ever had anywhere (first being the jade pacific in Billerica which is an actual restaurant and not a take out joint). Their spring rolls are big and full of veggies and chicken. All their fried foods are crispy. LO mien and fried rice while not the best in the Lowell area imo are both really good and what LO mien and fried rice are supposed to be. The staff is always super friendly from the guy that takes my orders to the girl who delivers it. Now the shortcomings I mentioned, it's little things, I'll order the same order on different days and it has different prices. Recently I placed a large order and they gave us one medium size cup of duck sauce which clearly wasn't going to be enough for 3 very hungry people with six spring rolls. Their online order menu has no option to order extra duck sauce so I have to call in orders. These are small inconsequential things imo. When I want Chinese delivered to me this is my first...
Read moreI went here with a group of three after watching the new starwars movie at the IMAX theater near by. We drove from Milford NH and figured we'd find somewhere near by for some dinner. We went in around 1130 and the place was empty but it seemed to be a little busy due to to go orders. Our food came out quick and wasnt terrible but was still highly below normal standards of food quality. That wasnt a huge deal but what came next blew my mind. We listened to the female cashier yelling at a customer over the phone telling him off. We thought that was rude but when he came in asking for an exchange for what he wanted she said that its not her fault he screwed up the order. She also stated she would not make it right do to him or his friend eating two of the fried chicken tenders. He stayed calm and tried to make it work and even offered to pay the difference. I was appalled by how rude the cashier was being in front of other guests. She then tried to involve us in customer shaming after he left without anything. I cant believe any business would let this happen. Then a Togo order was calling and she litterally stared at the phone and yelled "how many times you gonna call " as she stands there doing nothing. I write this review to try to inform management. We visited January...
Read moreThis is the worst restaurant ever!! I ordered a Large Chicken with peper and onion. I also told them to make it extra spicy. However for some reason it felt sketchy making an order thru the phone. A large chicken is a large chicken, he told me if i wanted rice with that then the large chicken will be okay for one person, but if you dont take rice then its good for two (i felt like hanging up on them), i tried to understand how does that even happen?!
The guy comes after 1 hour, opened the food was excited to eat. The food was extremely mild. And THERE WAS 4 STRIPS OF CHICKEN, 4 STRIPS?!
I CALLED THEM BACK THE LADY SAID "NO THE FOOD WAS GOOD", HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT? AND THEN I ASKED HER TO GIVE IT TO THE MANAGER/OWNER, SHE HUNGUP ON ME. I CALLED HER BACK, IT DIDNT GO THRU, I BELIEVE SHE BLOCKED MY NUMBER.
IF THERES NO RELATION WITH THE RESTAURANT OWNER AND THE COSTUMER, THEN THIS IS A FRAUDULENT CHINESSE RESTAURANT.
DONT EVER BUY THEIR FOOD, ITS EXPENSIVE AND NOT DELICIOUS.
I'D RATHER EAT FAST FOOD THAN...
