My husband and I had a party at Duffers to celebrate my birthday, my retirement and our new adventure we are embarking on next month.

I cannot possibly rave enough about our amazing experience at Duffers Mill for our party on May 25, 2024. From the very first conversation until the final moments of the event, everything was flawless, making it an unforgettable celebration.

Let's start with the venue itself. Duffers Mill is absolutely stunning - a captivating blend of modern elegance and cozy warmth. The ambiance was perfect for our gathering, with its charming decor and comfortable seating areas, ensuring everyone felt right at home. Whether you prefer a more intimate setting or a bustling atmosphere, Duffers Mill has something to offer for every occasion.

Now, let's move on to the highlight - the food. Oh my, where do I even begin? The culinary delights prepared by the chefs at Duffers Mill were nothing short of outstanding. Of course, exceptional food alone does not make a perfect experience. The service at Duffers Mill was incomparable. The food and staff overall are great. I have been going here for a year. The reviews are accurate on the high end. Regular food options and a few neat ones like perogis! I love the menu options. I also love the room options and it is a great bar for catching an Eagles game.

The security complaints are inaccurate based on my experience, the people who have been escorted out were always too drunk for their own good and looking for a fight. I would classify security as extremely professional.

The only thing really disappointing to me and why I dropped a star was a recent policy they enacted that all purchases after ten on Fridays and Saturdays will be charged an automatic 20% gratuity. I asked someone about it and they said it is because some people have $100 bill and tip like $3. I don’t agree with punishing the many for the acts of a few. I googled what an average tip is these days and just about everything came back to 15 to 20%. Their policy immediately charges the customer on the high end.

I also don’t agree with screwing the staff out of tips. The staff overall seem really great and hard working. People should tip appropriately and treat the staff with respect. Get an app for your phone to figure out a proper tip. I tip more than twenty, I hate doing math so i tip two dollars for every ten threshold, so $4 if my bill is $12 or $18. My dad recently passed away suddenly and I had to help figure out the plans. I googled places to hold a reception because I really had no idea except places like fire halls. Duffers Mill popped up. I’ve passed this place a million times since I’ve lived in this area almost my whole life but never ventured down the hill. Went to their website and found a PHENOMENAL price for what they had to offer. Thought ok, let’s put an inquiry in. Now this was a Sunday when I inquired online. Figured I might hear back on Monday or might need to follow up Tuesday. No, what seemed like seconds later I received a call from the GM Anthony! He was AMAZING! Customer service is top notch! I wanted to say yes as soon as I spoke to him but had to review our choices with others. We said yes to Duffers! Got everything set up and fast forward to the day of the reception. Our entire family and guests were beyond pleased with the atmosphere, service, and food! Brooke was our server and she did an awesome job! Kept up on everything and didn’t let a drink go empty! The kitchen staff did an exceptional job preparing and executing the food! The chef was outstanding! All the food was delicious! I want more chicken piccata!
