Murray's Deli has been a great experience for years! Yesterday was no different. The BEST OF PHILLY designation speaks for itself. My cousin can eat lol...but we both needed a box for the second half of our Murray's Delight Sandwiches. They were packed with delicious hot pastrami and the perfect blend of melted Swiss, sauerkraut and Russian dressing. I also appreciate the fries being hot and that there were not too many on the plate. Let's face it, reheated fries just aren't it. But Murray's is it!!! Our server was wonderful and there's ample, cozy seating. You can comfortably dine in or take out. Who doesn't love options lol?! I highly recommend you check them out! Cheers! 🥂

Decent delicatessen option in close striking distance of the Please Touch Museum. A mashup of a deli and diner with an emphasis on kosher style sandwiches as well as hoagies. Portion sizes are sizable and prices seem reasonable. Convenient for before or after a trip to Please Touch or other nearby attractions.

First time at a Jewish deli... and man have I been missing out. Turkey pastrami reuben was amazing. The Russian dressing was the best I've ever had in my life. Kind of pricey I thought ... but hey, if the food is good people will pay. And the food is good

Too bad 0 Stars is not an option!!!

Sure, Murray's is great... IF you are a fan of the rudest customer service and management that refuses to speak to you about it, as well as over-priced, mediocre food that's offered on an inflexible menu just so they can charge more for changes. Not to mention an unfriendly environment in general.

This place obviously has a massive chip on its shoulders due to vibrant business drained by nearby deli-completitors Hymies, that has has thrilled generations of local families.

In case you want proof - I stopped in just for coffee as I awaited a close-by car fix. The acid waitress brought me cold, overpriced over-strong coffee she was not happy about reheating. Instead she brought a message that the regular crowd from temporarily closed Hymies was expected in the then empty restaurant at lunchtime (3 hours later!), so I was not welcome to stay for long unless I consumed... Other customers (clearly Hymies loyals) were not happy when they asked to logically add bacon to eggs or change the toast off-menu) without a major price change. The dishes that arrived seemed sad too...

Go ahead and try if you don't believe me, but I won't be going...

ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich for breakfast as a to-go item. When I got home and unwrapped my bagel, there was NO EGG (the main ingredient) and the bacon was WAY undercooked. It's not the first time this happened either.

Every time I go in there, the place is dirty and the staff super slow to get me what I need. The owner is a real jerk as well, he doesn't give you the feeling that he is happy you are there. It's more like he is an angry macho prince and you hope to not be in his way when he comes around.

Now that The Dairy Cafe has opened, I will NEVER return to Murray's. I hope it slowly disappears and leaves space for better food options...
